DEES DREAMS AND VISIONS
June and July, 1988
NOTE: I started this journal in June of 1988
6-25-88 - DREAM - I went into a stranger's house on the way to the grocery store. The pastor and his wife and family were there but the house did not belong to them. The pastor's daughter was trying to fit a very large mirror into a smaller space than could hold it and it was bending. I knew it would break and finally it did. I tried to help her put the pieces back together again but they wouldn't hold in by themselves. The pastor asked me what would it take to put it back together. I said, "a little glue and it wouldn't hurt to scotch tape a $20 bill to the top either."
I got up to leave taking a quick look around to see if there were any green plants I could take a snip off of and root at home but there were none.
The pastor asked me if I had a ride home. I said that I had three cars out in the parking lot and pointed them out to him. He said, "I guess you won't be needing me anymore."
I went out to the car that my family was in. I tried to start it, but the starter motor wouldn't engage the engine and the batter began to wear down. The windshield was covered with a plastic substance that made it very blurry to see ahead. Then a monster's hand appeared against the windshield and I began screaming hysterically and woke up.

6-26-88 - DREAM - I was living in the country and there were many men there. They were slaughtering many lambs. I took a piece of lambskin back to cut it. It was very tough. I took a cleaver and hit it and the spine was attached and split it open. A blood red worm crawled out of the spine. I tried to keep it from crawling away. The worm didn't want to be stopped so it began to metamorphis and turned itself into a cocoon.

6-26-88 - DREAM - I was in the process of preparing to climb Mt. Everest. I had been there twice before. When asked why I was doing it, I answered that I was doing it on a dar. J.S. (an engineer I work with) had promised to marry me if I made it to the top.

6-27-88 - (Emotionally I was a basket case. My husband had just told me the day before that he had decided to go away for a year for drug and alcohol treatment)
DREAM - I was on a stony driveway, sitting on a revolving stool. I was riding it backwards around and around, back and forth, back and forth. There were two unidentified men there, (perhaps a good man and a bad man) The driveway was partly smooth and partly hilly. I went back and forth between the two men, across the smooth section and across the hilly section. When I stopped, I told the bad man, "I don't know what I'm going to do with myself for a year." Then I said, "I'd rather go across the hilly section, (indicating the driveway), it's more fun. "

6-28-88 - DREAM - I was in the back yard of my 16th St. house, burning some trash. The trash made a fire bigger than expected and sent sparks flying. The sparks caught the roof on fire of the back entranceway to the house. I ran into the house to get everyone out and saw that there was fire in the basement also. My big concern was to get my sister outside to safety and save her. (she was a baby) My parents were only concerned with the fire in the basement.When I got my sister outside, the back entranceway collapsed completely.
When the fireman arrived, they weren't concerned with the fire but observed that the ground I was standing on in the backyard, I was sinking in up to my knees. I was concerned that there was bodies buried there but my mother said that there were holes in the backyard made by the parents when they were digging holes looking for God.The fireman said, "Yes! We used to call that "God shopping."
At that point one of the men had to run to the store to buy something he forgot. (A purple substance). We all got into my vehicle and drove to the flower shop. He parked the 'jeep' and I told him that he had to pt the brake on extra hard but even so, we kept slipping slowly backwards. I got into the front seat to show them how to do it, and I pressed the brake as hard as possible and it still kept slipping slowly backward.
We reached an intersection where a woman policeman was going to give me a ticket and I decided to outrun her to avoid the ticket because I couldn't find my purse and had left my license at home and prove I had one. the jeep had power to outrun the police, but she laughed and stayed behind me, enjoying the chase. Eventually, I was on foot running through a school building and children kept obstructing the way. It was like an old slapstick comedy of errors chase. Everytime the children got in my way, she would laugh, I'd push my way through and the chase would continue.
Finally, one boy said that he had refueled my jeep but had put water and fuel in the wrong ends. He had put water into the gas tank. I turned on the engine anyway and it was superpowered. I concluded that the jeep had the wrong water/fuel mixture to run the vehicle.

6-30-88 - DREAM - B.H. and some others from work wanted to fly to Philadelphia but the airport was closed. One woman volunteered to drive them to another airport, but when it involved going uphill, she stopped the black car she was driving and got out feeling very panicky. I took over the driving but had trouble seeing out the windows because the seat was too low. We stopped and switched to a yellow bus and they made me a seat cushion to raise up my vision, out of some special material. I then drove all the way to Philadelphia. For that they gave me an award which was a heart shaped steering wheel cover and on the cover were photographs of three Christian women I had admired in my past and who had died and the award was given in their memory to me.

(This dream took place in my apartment, in a strange old bed for the first time. )
7-2-88 - DREAM - I dreamed I was chasing people to kill them.
DREAM - I dreamed people were chasing me to kill me.
DREAM - I dreamed I was running towards my 16th St. house and my son Bob was following me, also running. I pretended to be running away from him so I could know what it felt like to be chased down by an attacker. He caught up to me and ran alongside of me.
DREAM - I was living on the shore of Lake Michigan.

7-2-88 - DREAM - My roommate Shelley came home with the baby, bringing a girlfriend, her mother and a man who helped her carry in four one-quarter cases of canned food to store under her bed. At first I couldn't see straight, my eyes were open and I was seeing, but I could only see portions of the scene like through a prism and I could still feel myself lying on the bed at the same time. It was a frightening experience. I then held the baby and fed her (Shelley's baby was a boy) The baby called her bottle a 'bertle'.

7-3-88 - DREAM - My son Tom was my husband and he was a policeman. My young daughter was my daughter Jeanne. We were going to church and I was pulled along behind the good car. A police car passed me and arrested some Mexican man who were speeding. My husband stopped to assist in the arrest. When the arrest was over, I was asked to take the two men into town to have them put into the big jail. I thought I was going to take the good car, but they told me to take the bad car with the bad brakes. My daughter had been dressed for school in a yellow outfit. She missed the school bus because of the commotion. So, I would have to drive her to school myself, but she was undressed again, in yellow pajamas, and didn't have all her clothes with her, so I told her she'd have to miss school today. (In the dream, I had to look into my purse to make sure I had my xanax (tranquilizers) and at the arrest I was offered tea to drink. It was cold and I said, "Yuck!" and only took a sip.

7-8-88 - DREAM - I saw a musical vehicle coming down the street into a huge brass-like/ bell-like speaker attached to it's right side. The vehicle was like a parade float. On it a beautiful model was talking and showing off her clothes. Alongside walked several more models and I wondered how much walking they had to do to look that beautiful and muscular legs. The vehicle stopped and 6 beautiful models came into the building and stood in a row in front of me. They all weighed 135 pounds. They treated me like I was one of them, but I felt terribly fat and I tried to hide my hips by holding my arms at my sides. They said they were from the Paul Le Claire agency I was ashamed of how fat I was. I hid in the bathroom. My skirt fell off there and I had to put on another skirt and when I did, I looked at the colors. It was red and green plaid and I said it looked like Christmas.

7-5-88 - DREAM - I was in a motorcycle race. There were 3 motorcycles on each team, the good guys vs the bad guys. I was the third person on the good guy's team. I had on 3 pairs of shoes and they had to be on in a certain order, the most secure ones in front, followed by less secure and least secure, but they were all strapped together. The bad guys were ahead of us for quite aways, but some oncoming cars with their headlights made them scared and we got in front of them and were able to stay there. Everyone slowed down and I got in front and as soon as I did my shoes started to come off. We all stopped and she put me in my correct place and I did so gladly because I knew I was out of control.
The bad guys came up behind us but didn't want to be so they stayed out of sight. We couldn't continue until our leader got her paycheck cashed.
I went to a baseball game which turned into a horseshow and met some people. I was told that people greet each other by raising the right hand and touching fingers to show they meant no harm. I avoided meeting people because the area looked ominous and unfriendly. I finally found an area (a row of houses) I thought I could deal with. The fences were difficult to get through and a young boy tried to help me.
He then said that I should put a muzzle rope on a mule to train and control it. When I did, the rope became a hose and the hose was the birth canal for the mule which was to give birth to 12 snakes. The first snake was born. It had a 'wise...all knowing" look about it. It had a long fin on top like an eel. The rest of the snakes began to be born but they all withered and died immediately. but the one snake (the first one) stayed healthy and strong.

7-9-88 - DREAM - I had asked for guidance for my life before falling asleep. I was cleaning up the office and had some files I didn't know where to put. They were personal files, tests taken, and aptitude tests, etc. A lady told me to give them to the man in Career Development. He hadn't done anything in over a year; because he had been busy with other things.
I went home to get ready for a date. My roommate didn't like my boyfriend and said he was stupid and good for nothing. He came over and pulled a ring box out of his pocket. I thought he was going to give it to me, but my second thought was that it was awfully soon. As it was, he looked at it, put it back into his pocket and said "That's mine!" I wanted to go out and get the mail but it was way down on the corner, I was still dressed in nightgown and slippers and didn't have my hair combed. When I went to brush my hair, it just wouldn't go the way I wanted it to. My hair was unruly and I wished it would lay down and behave itself like other people.

7-10-88 - DREAM - I was in an office and noticing the organization and planning involved. I tool two large glassed picture frames to hang on the wall to keep track of my goals and notes to myself. They were to be written on the glass so they could be changed as needed.

7-12-88 - DREAM - I was on a fact finding job to identify problems and solve them if possible. Not everything was a problem. It already had a matching solution. The problems were of man types, dietary, emotional, physical, etc. I had two weeks to accomplish this task. At the end of the two weeks there was a man waiting for me. He was wearing a black tuxedo. I was wearing a dark blue tuxedo. We were going to dance together when I was done. (I woke up very depressed)

7-14-88 - DREAM - I dreamed it was the 4th of July. T.L. and I were together and we went to bed together. I wanted to touch his hand and hold it. We were covered with white sheets. He said, "If you are going to touch me, get closer, and he put his arm around me and pulled me closer. I snuggled up with my head on his shoulder.
It was morning. We had to separate by noon. I had to meet my family by 1 p.m. and he had to meet his family too. There was a parade staring soon. He said that he might go to the big parade on July 5th. He got dressed to leave. He was missing his long knife from his utensil pouch he carried with him. I had seen it earlier but it was missing now. I saw to other shorter knives there. I wanted to spend one more minute in private with him to kiss him. I was wearing a blue bathrobe. I could find a private place. I introduced him to my two sons and their cousin Bob whom they called Paul and my son bob. They shook hands. T.L. and I drove around together in a blue car. We came to the final street. we had to drive up a waterfall that was dry but was just starting to melt. We paused at the bottom, ready to try it.

7-15-88 - DREAM - I was in my New Berlin house and it was being painted green. My husband said that it wouldn't cover the old paint but I said that by the time the second coat was on, it would be fine.

7-15-88 - DREAM - I went to the refrigerator to get some food. It was being defrosted by someone else which I hadn't known about. There was hamburger on every shelf in packages. I looked at it all and said that it was fine and good to eat.

7-16-88 - DREAM - I dreamed that hamburger was okay but 18 was too many. I dreamed that my car was parked in a bad neighborhood, but it was protected. I dreamed that I was smoking a cigarette on both ends and I had to put it out.

7-16-88 - VISION - Someone was trying the front door knob to get in.

7-16-88 - VISION - I saw a man floating down with a white parachute. He seemed to be hit with something. He pulled his feet up and many white things flew off of him. Either feathers or birds, in all directions.

7-17-88 - DREAM - My second husband came home from looking at a house. The smell of alcohol was very strong. He wanted me to go look at a new house with him. While he was there, he tried to rob a store and get caught. A kitchen table knife was his weapon. Inside the store, fireworks were going off. They were supposed to shoot through the roof automatically but they couldn't get out.

7-17-88 - Dreamed that we prayed a long time for a man to be able to cross over the road from the Russian camp into the Christian camp. Finally, on Sunday the gates were opened and he was able to come over. (He was riding a bicycle)

7-17-88 - I was concerned about my husband's whereabouts. I lay down to meditate on the problem. These are things I saw and the results.
#1 - I saw a soft brownish blanket and heard the words, "He's covered by blood."
#2 - Saw my own clothes on the floor of the closet and heard the words, "Just take care of yourself."
#3 - Saw a sheet of paper with plans on it. Heard the words, "Everything is according to plan."
#4 - I saw a body of water like Puget Sound with Mt. Rainier on the far shore.
#5 - I saw a forest scene with a highway through it like I drove through in Oregon.
NOTE: ON 1-1-89, I left my husband in Elgin, IL because of severe marital problems, with only the clothes on my back, all my clothes were left in the closet. My husband traveled to Washington State, then to Oregon where he was beaten and left for dead and had to have major surgery to put his intestines back where they belonged.

7-18-88 - DREAM - I was running around town with a pain in my chest for over two hours. I woke up with gas pains. We were running away from strange men.

7-18-88 - DREAM - I was at work. The personnel made up a file for me under "Light Occult". It had uninterpreted dreams in it. I sneaked the material out of the file and took it back to my desk. I didn't want them to know what I was into.

7-19-88 - DREAM - I dreamed that H.P. came to get me after his wife divorced him. I started to xerox a book of cheesecake recipes.

7-20-88 - DREAM - I was at someones home. They asked me if I knew how to make pigs in a blanket. I said I did and agreed to make them. Then I saw that they invited the pastor and his wife for dinner. That meant that there wasn't enough meat to go around. A 'farmer's son' was also visiting. He helped to clean up the kitchen. We looked in the refrigerator. There was a lot of 'white corn' there. It was underdeveloped and he said he wouldn't eat it. I teased him that as a farmer's son he expected his corn to be perfect. Time as passing too quickly. I started to pound the meat and put chrysanthemums with it to stretch it, but wouldn't put sugar on it. (I''m thinking that I meant soybeans)

7-20-88 -DREAM - My husband decided it wasn't worth living anymore. He was on the 2nd floor and set the house on fire with the blue gas from the stove. The baby was in the room behind him. In the note he left, he said I had been untrue to him, and he was going home to his Father. That was why he was taking the baby too. I looked around the house and decided there was nothing in the house that was not replaceable. I rant next door to call the fire department. They didn't even care about the fire, my husband, or the baby. The said, "Nobody knew who the baby's Father was anyway!" They were trying to tell me they had been saving my mail for me while I was on vacation and they would make copies of all the "C.D." tapes for me.
I was sobbing hysterically because my husband was killing the baby too.

7-20-88 - DREAM - I moved into a huge old white house with my husband and kids. It was gigantic. I didn't know where or what all the rooms were yet. I knew there were 3 bathrooms just on the first floor. There were a set of double doors on all 4 sides of the house. I hadn't yet figured out how to tune in the TV. It had more knobs and stations and was bigger than my old one. I went to see what the kids were doing. I discovered a little lighted room behind the sofa. I said it could be a playroom. There was a huge gold metal form protruding into the room from the back wall. I didn't know what it was or if it was dangerous.
My husband said I could advertise in the paper for a part-time job at home. He said the hours could be 10 am. to 9 p.m. I said, It sure won't be babysitting. There are enough kids around here already." I could hear children playing outside all around the house. I also thought to myself. It seems like there's an awful lot of traffic going by too.
I had some new taped books to study. One of them was numbered 2100. I pressed the button to start it.The light went out. There wasnt enough power in the house to operate it yet.

7-21-88 - I called Jesus Christ to ask guidance. He brought Michael Dukkakis and Jesse Jackson to me to introduce them. He said, "I want you to know these two men."

7-23-88 - DREAM - I wanted to buy groceries in a store. The clerk told me that their credit department closed at 6 p.m. and I wouldn't be able to write a check. I was very upset. She personally offered me $117 if I would give her all my credit cards. I refused. I told her I might get stuck somewhere else and need them.

7-24-88 - DREAM - I dreamed that all the food was gone. My husband said, "There's plenty of food. He unsnapped his lower jaw. It was mad of an apple slice over a walnut.

7-24-88 - DREAM - There was a tent camp of many unruly men on the graveyard. A woman complained that they threw something on her grandfathers grave and they became very angry and wanted to fight, but they had counselors there who calmed them down and we left.
A woman was going all over town picking all the sunflowers. My husband was buying me an orange car.

7-24-88 - DREAM - I dreamed that my disease could be stopped temporarily by cutting my fingernails, but that it would come back because it was like a vine that regrew from shoots and tendrils because it was rooted very deeply.

7-24-88 - DREAM - I didn't go to church because of my fever and pain. I was watching TV church and the black minister prayed for th people at home so they could get well and go back to their churches and fellowship. I felt an instant release of my pain and my mood felt an instant brightening too.

7-24-88 - DREAM - I was playing the piano for work while I was supposed to be working. I said, "This doesn't feel like work." My husband came in and put his red bible on top of the piano. I stood up to go to work. I took a knife and something else and held them out towards my daughter and said, "Would you please put these away?" She screamed, "No!" at me and threw herself on her bed and kicked her legs in the air.
I became outraged and tried to throw the Bible which had become a knife onto the floor. I was unable to. I then threw the first knife out into the backyard and went over to my daughter and took her by the head in both hands and squeezed and said while staring into her eyes, "When I ask you to do something and say, Please! Don't ever say "No!" just quickly do it without making a sound and then go back to what you wanted to do for yourself. I tried to throw the bible/knife on the floor because of my anger. I then went out into the yard and retrieved the first knife. Then I met my Father and he came back into the house with me. He asked my Mother, "Why does 'so n so" have to go to Melton's all the time and go bear hunting?" (can't remember so n so's name) He has a home church. What are home churches for?
I thought to myself, "We just learned that in church last week. A home church is where you go for fellowship to strengthen yourself so that when you go out into the world you can strengthen others.

7-25-88 - DREAM - I had two cars and 4 sets of keys. I discovered that the cars already had the keys in them. The other two sets of keys were in my left coat pocket. I put them back. I didn't try to figure out what they were for. When I drove the car, I made a right hand U turn and went back the way I had come.

7-25-88 - DREAM - I lived in a house where the man upstairs had a book called "The elimination of Fear and Worry." My daughter kept telling me about it. I went upstairs to the outer hall and looked through his books but it wasn't there. On top of his books was a silver cross on a chain. He began to wake up so I quit looking. I realized that the book must be in his closet on the upper shelf.

7-26-88 - DREAM - I was chosen to give an award in church to a young man for something he had done. we were giving him a swordfish on a plaque and $800. I was giving a speech on his behalf for the first time in front of a crowd. I was copying the words which were printed in rainbow colors from a catalogue.
Many people came along who needed help and I assisted them, but when I went back to the speech, the light had faded and the words were gone so I didn't know anymore what I was to say. I knew I had to go where there was better light, so I gathered up my things and took them to the second floor of an old building. I had to go up a stairway that had rickety wooden stairs and then across a wooden bridge to an apartment where the gray carpeting was being cleaned. All the women, including myself were wearing black.

7-26-88 - DREAM - My sister-in-law saw a good looking man walk by and she asked for my help not to make a fool of herself by chasing after him. I thought to myself, "It's not my job to chastise her for thinking unchasteful thoughts."

7-27-88 - DREAM - I was traveling with Edward my husband. I was driving a car along a highway and he was ona motorcycle following a narrow rough trail next to the roadway. He was then following a woman who was also on a motorcycle along the path which deviated from the road and I lost sight of them.
My son was leaving on a trip. Twins with orange flowered shirts were driving the station wagon that was taking him away. I told him, "When you return, come back on a motorcycle."

7-28-88 - DREAM - I was driving my car with my baby on my lap. I was headed home. I made a right turn. Right in the road was a baby playing. Rather than hit the baby, I let my yellow car smash into a tree. some people got the baby out of the road and I backed up and then went on my way, but the road deadended and I had to turn around in someone's yard.
While I was turning around, I met a woman with Parkinson's disease. She was pregnant with what was to be their family's first girl child. My own baby suddenly took sick with a coughing disease with lots of mucus and they brough in a warm water bed to lay the baby on. They said it was Encephalitis. I thought it was something else. I was afraid it was going to die. They wanted to lay it on a piano bench and I said to lay it on the floor so it wouldn't roll off.

7-27-88 - DREAM - I was shown a city which was wonderful and I said, "Is this the way it looks when you are on drugs?" and they said, "No! This is the way it really is." and I knew it was heaven.
I then went upstairs and rearranged the clothing situation and hung the baby girl clothes in my grown son's closet.
I tried to give my husband a nickel, but he thought it was a slug and refused it.

7-29-88 - DREAM - I went out to the lake cottage. The level of the lake was rising. Just when I thought it would be too high for others to come there, I looked out the widow and the level was normal and others could arrive as scheduled.

7-30-88 - DREAM - This was a long dream about a man trying to get me to go to bed with him.
I had a sexual tryst with my husband and a woman friend. The dream said it was okay as long as all parties agreed. The dream went on where my husband was in bed with another woman and I became very angry.
At breakfast time, I asked my son to get the coffee cup out. He was very slow about getting started because he was taking care of the baby. I grabbed him by the hair and marched him into the pantry and made him pick up the coffee cups.
Later, he regretted not doing it, because he had promised to do so. I regretted trying to force him so do so and not having more patience.

7-31-88 - DREAM - My son Tom was teaching on TV. I was so proud of him, I wanted to tell everyone. He said that when he cooked pork, he cooked it for 17 hours to make sure it was tender.

7-31-88 - DREAM - I met my friend Barb at church. She said that a person should be at church at least every other day. I reminded her that we only had three services a week, two on Sunday and one on Wednesday, but that there was a Bible study on Tuesdays on the Fruit of the Spirit and that I would be there.
I was walking through a fruit orchard outside of church. The trees were tall and the lowest branches were high up off the ground, higher than most people could reach, but the man I was with was in charge of the trees and said that the branches should be even higher because he was taller than most people. He said he didn't want to stoop to anyone elses level, he wanted to be able to stand as tall as his full potential. Some of the branches were cut too low for me to stand up to my full potential too.
