Aaron Russo (February 14, 1943–August 24, 2007) was an American entertainment businessman, film producer and director, and political activist. He was best known for producing such movies as Trading Places, Wise Guys, and The Rose. Later in life, he created various Libertarian-leaning political documentaries including Mad as Hell and America: Freedom to Fascism. After a six-year battle with bladder cancer, Russo died on August 24, 2007.

Early life

Aaron Russo was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1943. Growing up on Long Island, Russo worked for his family's undergarment business.

Entertainment career

In April 1968, Russo opened the nightclub Kinetic Playground in Chicago, Illinois, originally naming it the Electric Theater. He booked numerous prominent rock groups and musicians at the club such as The Grateful Dead, Iron Butterfly, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, Rotary Connection, and The Who.

In addition to owning his own nightclub, Russo managed several musical acts throughout the 1970s including The Manhattan Transfer and Bette Midler.^[1]

Russo then moved into producing and directing movies, six of them receiving Academy Award nominations and two receiving Golden Globe Award nominations.^[2] His final film would be America: Freedom to Fascism, a political documentary critical of the Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Reserve System and warning about the coming of the New World Order.

Political career

Russo became involved in political issues in the early-1990s when he produced and starred in the documentary entitled Mad As Hell in which he criticized the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the federal government's War on Drugs, the concept of a National Identity Card, and government regulation of alternative medicine.^{[citation needed]}

In 1998, Russo took his political interests to a higher level, running for governor of the state of Nevada as a Republican. Placing second in the Republican primary with 26% of the vote to candidate Kenny Guinn, Russo later endorsed the Democratic nominee, then-Las Vegas mayor Jan Laverty Jones, who would eventually lose to Republican nominee Kenny Guinn.^{[citation needed]} Russo was planning to run again for Nevada governor in 2002 as either an independent or Libertarian but was sidelined by cancer.

In January 2004, Russo declared his candidacy for the President of the United States initially as an independent but then as a Libertarian. At the Libertarian National Convention in May 2004, Russo received 258 votes to Michael Badnarik's 256 votes and Gary Nolan's 246 votes, short of the majority required to receive the presidential nomination. Russo would eventually lose the nomination on the convention's third and final ballot to Badnarik by a vote of 423-344.

On February 14, 2004, Russo gave his full endorsement to the Free State Project, saying in his letter, "I encourage my fellow Libertarians and all freedom-loving Americans to consider joining the Free State Project." ^[3]

On January 14, 2007, Russo announced his full support for US Congressman Ron Paul's candidacy for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination.^{[citation needed]}

Later in 2007, Russo created the political grassroots organization, Restore the Republic (restoretherepublic.com), to fulfill the political ambitions laid out in his final movie documentary, America: Freedom to Fascism. Regarding the organization, Russo said his goal was to "try and get the word out to the public about what's happening to America -- and give them an opportunity to try to change things".

Death

On August 24, 2007, Russo died at the age of 64 of bladder cancer at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.^[4]

Was Aaron Russo Murdered?

Film producer & rock musician promoter Aaron Aaron died of bladder cancer on August 24, 2007, at age 64. Aaron successfully promoted musicians such as Janis Joplin, & bands such as The Who, The Grateful Dead, & Jefferson Airplane. He also produced films like The Rose, Trading Places, & a masterpiece documentary called, America: Freedom to Fascism. Those who knew him have described him as an energetic, passionate person, who excelled at most of the things he did.

There may be a variety of reasons for Aaron's life being cut short. For instance, there may be a long history of cancer in his family. Or, by his own accord, he may have inadvertently come into contact with some type of cancer-causing agent. Because I'm not aware of his family history, or other potential contributing factors, this article is somewhat speculation. In addition, during an August 29, 2007 interview on the Alex Jones show, Aaron's girlfriend, Heidi Gregg answered no, when asked if she thought Aaron's death was the result of a Directed Energy Weapon hit. She said that Aaron's death was due to his lifestyle.

However, on October 23, 2007, talk show host Alex Jones declared that Aaron privately told him that he'd been threatened & thought his cancer was the result of an attack. If it was a DEW hit, there are many questions that remain. For instance, if he thought he was attacked, why didn't he make public statements to this effect? He could also have posted information on his site pertaining to this. I don't have solid answers for these questions. But it's possible that he studied this phenomenon & knew there was no legal way stop it. It's possible that, based on his circumstances, he decided it would be best not to burden his friends & family with something they had no control over. This too is speculation.

So let's speculate. On a January 29, 2007 interview with film producer Alex Jones, Aaron stated that an attorney friend of his told him that one of the Rockefellers wanted to meet him after viewing his video, Mad as Hell, & finding out that he was running for governor of Nevada.(*) The interested individual turned out to be Nick Rockefeller. "I met him & I liked him," said Aaron. "He was a very, very smart man." According to Aaron, they became friends over a period of years. Rockefeller would visit his house for dinner, & they'd share thoughts & ideas. Various business opportunities were offered to Aaron during these visits.

"Nick & I discussed many things," mentioned Aaron, "one of the things we discussed was reducing world population. ... In a way, I agreed, there are too many people in the world, but I don't think I have the authority to say who's going to die & who's not going to die." "But," he continued, "they [the CFR] felt that they wanted to reduce world population," by about "fifty percent."

Aaron acknowledged, ""He was the one who told me eleven months before 911 ... happened that there was going to be an event, (he never told me what the event was going to be), but that there was going to be an event, & out of that event we would invade Afghanistan. ... [Then] we were going to invade Iraq to take over the oil fields & establish a base in the middle east." Other countries such as Venezuela will apparently also be invaded.

"I remember him telling me we were going to see [the military] looking in caves for people in Afghanistan & Pakistan," such as "Osama bin Laden," proclaimed Aaron. And that "there's going to be this war on terror in which there's no real enemy." Aaron explained that because this war on terror was to have no real enemy defined, it would be endless. According to him, this was to be done to terrorize the public into submission, as part of a strategy to bring about a "New World Order."

One such business opportunity offered to Aaron included an invitation to join the Council on Foreign Relations. "I was definitely being recruited," says Aaron. Apparently Aaron was well aware of the true intentions of the inner-core of the CFR. He answered, "As much as I like you Nick, your way isn't my way, we're on opposite sides of the fence. You know I don't believe in enslaving people." According to Aaron, Rockefeller's reply was, "What do you care about those people? What difference does in make to you? ... They're just serfs." Aaron described Nick's personality during this time as, "cold."

Continuing his depiction Aaron said, "I used to say to him, what's the point of all this? You have all the money in the world you need, you have all the power you need. What's the point? He said, "the end goal is to get everybody chipped, [in order] to control the whole society. ... To have the bankers & the elite people control the world." ... Do all the people in the Council on Foreign Relations believe the way you do? He said, "No, no, no. Most of them believe they're doing the right thing."" It looks as though at this point, Aaron was beginning to see the psychopathic traits in his friend manifest.

"He wanted me to become part of what they were doing & he wanted me to become a member of the CFR, & offered various business opportunities [to me]." Aaron expressed that Rockefeller wanted to get him to stop his political activities & join them. "[T]hey wanted me to join their side," said Aaron, "because they thought I was a mover & a shaker. And rather than me opposing them, [they wanted me] to join them. ... [But] I didn't go for it."

So, Aaron denied what he described as an unofficial invitation into the CFR, & decided not to drop his political convictions. In fact, he began to investigate the Federal Reserve & decided to produce probably one of the most important documentaries in history. It's called America: Freedom to Fascism, & in it Aaron targeted the head of the beast by exposing the sinister plans of the CFR, Rockefellers & other financial elitists.

The description of the film on Aaron's site is as follows, "This film which is neither left, nor right-wing is a startling examination of government. It exposes the systematic erosion of civil liberties in America since 1913 when the Federal Reserve system was fraudulently created. Through interviews with U.S. Congressmen, a former IRS Commissioner, former IRS and FBI agents and tax attorneys and authors, Aaron connects the dots between money creation, federal income tax, and the national identity card which becomes law in May 2008."

The explanation continues, "This ID card will use Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips which are essentially homing devices used to track people. This film shows in great detail and undeniable facts that America is moving headlong into a fascist police state. Wake up!" To this account I will add that probably most of the individuals that have studied the New World Order, have learned that this ID card is that last step before a microchipped population. This chip will probably be successfully sold to an already cowed public in a variety of ways. The Problem-Reaction-Solution formula, no doubt, will be one of them.

Whether you're a 911 Truther, a Targeted Individual, or part of the truth movement in general, you should know that the drive to abolish the Federal Reserve is probably the single most critical task to be accomplished. Aaron certainly recognized this. Remember, things such as 911 cover-ups & the Hidden Evil can only occur because congress & the president are not in control. They are puppets of corporations. The same applies to the leaders of the rest of the NATO nations. In reality, this is a global fascist-communist state, with the trappings of a democracy.

Aaron started a nation-wide movement to abolish the Federal Reserve. Because of his popularity & passion for following things through to perfection, he most likely would have been able to assemble massive support. The financial elite were well aware of his capabilities, which is why they attempted to recruit him in the first place. They obviously knew he could pose a significant threat to their control. They knew he had a plan that could potentially work. An intelligent, independent person, who won't sell out, is their worst enemy. In my opinion, he is exactly the type of person they would target.

Fortunately one of the legacies that Aaron left includes the, Restore the Republic website.(**) I'm sure the folks who run it are highly exceptional & competent. No doubt this essential movement to free the country (the planet) will continue. Even though this is the case, there's a type of energy that certain individuals give to an activity. A single person can literally motivate hundreds, thousands, or millions of people. Sometimes, just by their presence. There are many labels society can give to such individuals. The financial elite recognize that they exist, & when they're identified, they absolutely must be recruited or destroyed in some manner.(***)

One notable individual who vowed to shut down the Federal Reserve System was President John F. Kennedy. On June 4, 1963, he signed Executive Order 11110, which legally abolished it. On November 22, 1963 he was assassinated. Unfortunately we've entered an era when assassinations can be silent & traceless. There's no question about the existence of this technology. These weapons can murder people through walls, over a long distance. Most of all, they provide clever concealment by producing a death that has the appearance of a natural occurrence. Dr. Reinhardt Munzert refers to it as, "the perfect crime." Was Aaron Russo assassinated? We may never know for sure. One thing is for certain, the financial elite had the means, the motive, & the opportunity to do so.

Aaron Russo Was Target Of Assassination Plot

LOS ANGELES — A hedge fund manager and art collector from New York testified under immunity Tuesday that Anthony Pellicano, the Hollywood private detective accused of wiretapping and racketeering, had once offered to have a movie producer killed for him.

Adam D. Sender, the owner of Exis Capital, a hedge fund that at one point had more than $1 billion in assets, said in Federal District Court here that he had paid Mr. Pellicano about $500,000 to investigate Aaron Russo, a producer and onetime talent manager whose film credits included “Trading Places.” Mr. Russo died of cancer last year.

In 1999, Mr. Sender invested $1.1 million with Mr. Russo. Later, Mr. Sender sued Mr. Russo, accusing him of pocketing the money. Mr. Russo dodged process servers for more than a year, until Mr. Pellicano was brought into the case at the urging of Mr. Sender’s new lawyer, Bert Fields. (Mr. Sender said he paid Mr. Fields’s firm about $300,000, but recovered only $25,000 from Mr. Russo.)

Mr. Sender testified Tuesday that Mr. Pellicano had wiretapped Mr. Russo for a year and had played recordings of Mr. Russo’s intercepted phone calls for him 10 or 15 times. But Mr. Pellicano grew sick of listening to Mr. Russo, Mr. Sender said. And, in a “frightening” moment in the garden of Mr. Sender’s mansion in Bel-Air, he said, Mr. Pellicano suggested killing Mr. Russo.

Mr. Pellicano said that “if I wanted to, I could basically authorize him” to have Mr. Russo “murdered on the way back from Las Vegas,” Mr. Sender testified. “He would have someone follow him back, drive him off the road and bury his body somewhere in the desert.” Mr. Sender said he had declined.

On cross-examination, Mr. Pellicano, acting as his own lawyer and speaking of himself in the third person, seemed more concerned with getting his own words right than with disputing Mr. Sender’s account. He does not face any charges related to Mr. Sender’s statements.

“Didn’t Mr. Pellicano say, ‘You’ve spent all this money, why don’t you just whack him?’ ” Mr. Pellicano asked. “Didn’t Mr. Pellicano say, ‘If you feel so badly about it, why don’t you just have him killed?’ ”

“He might’ve phrased it that way,” Mr. Sender said.

Rockefeller Admitted Elite Goal Of Microchipped Population

After his popular video Mad As Hell was released and he began his campaign to become Governor of Nevada, Russo was noticed by Rockefeller and introduced to him by a female attorney. Seeing Russo's passion and ability to affect change, Rockefeller set about on a subtle mission to recruit Russo into the elite.

During one conversation, Rockefeller asked Russo if he was interested in joining the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) but Russo rejected the invitation, saying he had no interest in "enslaving the people" to which Rockefeller coldly questioned why he cared about the "serfs."

"I used to say to him what's the point of all this," states Russo, "you have all the money in the world you need, you have all the power you need, what's the point, what's the end goal?" to which Rockefeller replied (paraphrasing), "The end goal is to get everybody chipped, to control the whole society, to have the bankers and the elite people control the world."

Rockefeller even assured Russo that if he joined the elite his chip would be specially marked so as to avoid undue inspection by the authorities.

Russo states that Rockefeller told him, "Eleven months before 9/11 happened there was going to be an event and out of that event we were going to invade Afghanistan to run pipelines through the Caspian sea, we were going to invade Iraq to take over the oil fields and establish a base in the Middle East, and we'd go after Chavez in Venezuela."

Rockefeller also told Russo that he would see soldiers looking in caves in Afghanistan and Pakistan for Osama bin Laden and that there would be an "Endless war on terror where there's no real enemy and the whole thing is a giant hoax," so that "the government could take over the American people," according to Russo, who said that Rockefeller was cynically laughing and joking as he made the astounding prediction.

In a later conversation, Rockefeller asked Russo what he thought women's liberation was about. Russo's response that he thought it was about the right to work and receive equal pay as men, just as they had won the right to vote, caused Rockefeller to laughingly retort, "You're an idiot! Let me tell you what that was about, we the Rockefeller's funded that, we funded women's lib, we're the one's who got all of the newspapers and television - the Rockefeller Foundation."

Rockefeller told Russo of two primary reasons why the elite bankrolled women's lib, one because before women's lib the bankers couldn't tax half the population and two because it allowed them to get children in school at an earlier age, enabling them to be indoctrinated into accepting the state as the primary family, breaking up the traditional family model.

This revelation dovetails previous admissions on behalf of feminist pioneer Gloria Steinem (pictured) that the CIA bankrolled Ms. Magazine as part of the same agenda of breaking up traditional family models.

Rockefeller was often keen to stress his idea that "the people have to be ruled" by an elite and that one of the tools of such power was population reduction, that there were "too many people in the world," and world population numbers should be reduced by at least half.

One issue which has spiraled out of control of the elite according to Rockefeller's conversations with Russo, is the Israel-Palestine conflict, with serious thinking at one stage revolving around the bizarre notion of giving Israeli citizens one million dollars each and relocating them all in the state of Arizona.
