BASHAR: Time Traveler From Our Future
Descriptions of Bashar as a multi-dimensional being whom Darryl Anka
channels are simply inadequate. Each life is a multi-dimensional creation,
knowingly or unknowingly. Bashar’s gift is that he teaches how to bring
one's multi-dimensionality into knowing reality. He can be quite physical
when he elects to interact in our time continuum, and I had the good fortune
to witness Bashar’s craft in the company of eight other people at a
designated time and place selected in 1985.

trance-channeling, with an extra-terrestrial entity called Bashar in 1983.
He describes Bashar as existing in a parallel reality, in a time frame that
we perceive as the future. The monologues and dialogues with Bashar cover a
wide range of topics including human psychology, planetary evolution,
metaphysics and, of course, extra-terrestrials. Occasionally, Anka will act
as a guest speaker in conferences related to issues such as ET contact. Anka
has also channeled other entities, and the entity Bashar has also been
channeled by other mediums.”

I first encountered Bashar in December 1984 at Steve Muro’s home in Encino,
California, shortly after Darryl began channeling publicly. Steve was an old
friend and invited me to his home for a surprise. With no idea what was in
store for us, my husband and I were happy to spend the afternoon with Steve.
In 1984 Darryl Anka channeling Bashar was the third channel I had
encountered. As I recall, no fee was requested. The first channel I had seen
was Bob Short channeling Korton in 1981, and, I was aware that the featured
speaker would be Bashar, but had no other expectations.
Bashar was a delightfully powerful presence the first afternoon I saw him in
Encino. Darryl Anka was a pleasant and quiet personality, much like he is
before he channels in the many videos now available. Darryl had not been
channeling publicly very long in 1984 but Steve began to regularly sponsor
Bashar channelings in 1985. My husband and I often attended.
In May my husband and I requested a private channeling with Bashar, and a
closer relationship with Bashar began. While Darryl was in trance, Bashar
began speaking about joy. Something about the idea of following one’s
excitement with joy didn’t sit well with me. “Where does responsibility come
in?” I wondered. With his eyes closed in trance, Darryl, channeling Bashar,
turned directly to me and asked if I was willing to have joy. That question
directed toward me tipped the scales. I told Bashar I wasn’t sure what kind
of joy I was willing to have, then left the room. Bashar was supposed to be
channeling, I reasoned, and not questioning me. I was inexplicably upset by
the discourse but avoided the feeling by simply not attending Bashar's
channelings from May to September 1985.
On Labor Day weekend in September 1985 my husband and I helped friends plant
a new lawn. We were tired and sweaty in the hot sun and I stopped to take a
break with a shovel in hand when an audible voice spoke in my head. It said,
“We will be near you next weekend if you would like to see us.” I am a
natural psychic and often got impressions, but the voice that afternoon was
different. It was a directed audio voice that invited me to meet “them” the
next weekend. The only other time anything like that had happened was after
visiting Korton.
I was puzzled and wondered if I was imagining things after working in the
sun. But it was quite clear and distinct. The place to meet them was
Northern California. I determined to find out what would happen if I went to
Northern California the next weekend and shouted at my husband across the
lawn that I wanted him to take me camping. He was so amused at the notion of
my sudden interest in camping that he laughed out loud and responded, “If
you want to go camping, I will take you camping.”
“How about next weekend?” I asked. He said he would take me camping anytime
I wanted to go. I turned to our friends whose lawn we were planting,
Danielle and Carlos, and asked if they would like to go with us. None of us
had been camping for years, and it sounded like fun. I called Steve Muro to
tell him the strangest thing had happened and the voice had said I could
meet them the next weekend. Steve responded that Bashar had said his ship
would be in Northern California the next weekend doing fault line repair.
The synchronicity of my receiving an audible message that "they" would be in
the area the next weekend, the same weekend Bashar had announced in an
entirely different venue that his ships would be in Northern California,
stretched beyond mere coincidence. The first time I had gotten an audible
message like the one in 1985 had been after meeting with Korton by way of
Bob Short. An extraordinary situation had unfolded with the message after
the encounter with Korton. (Meeting Korton in 1981)
Steve and his wife wanted to go camping too when I told them what had
happened. I knew only that the place we should go was north of Ojai,
California, and found on a map that Lake Casitas State Park was not too far
north of there. I discussed Bashar's announcement that he would be in
Northern California only with Steve and Danielle. I had no interest in
debating the reality of UFOs with anybody, especially my chivalrous husband
with his view that he was taking me out for a date weekend.
As we drove into the campground I realized I had not told my husband that
Bashar’s ship might be in the area and we might see a UFO. As I read the map
of the campground to locate our site, I asked him if he was willing to see a
UFO while camping, just to ensure his free will was invoked. He laughed
merrily at the idea and said, “Yes, my dear. It is okay to see a UFO.” I
always knew he was humoring me in his tone of “my dear." His demeanor
clearly conveyed that he was not concerned about a UFO that weekend.
By the time we set up camp and started the fire for dinner, the sun had
started to fade but the dusky sky was still fairly well lit. As I cooked, I
heard Steve and Annie talking excitedly and looked up to see them standing
by a tree. I ran over to join them on the rise where they stood with an
unobstructed view of the sky. A huge yellow light zoomed from one end of the
visible sky to the other in only seconds. From where we stood the path of
the huge yellow light moved in a straight line across the vault of the sky.
The bright light blazed from one end of the sky's vault to the other end, as
far as the eye could see.
In seconds a huge triangular craft hovered directly above us. I can't say
how it got there. First, I had been watching the brilliant yellow light
shoot across the sky at a distance in front of us. It had gone north then
back south. As I waited to see if it would travel north again, a black
triangular craft was inexplicably above us. Speaking mechanistically more
than one UFO might have been involved. Years later a black triangular craft
swooped down very low in front of a truck in which I was riding in 1992. In
that instance the UFO unexpectedly appeared in front of the truck then
ascended very quickly and glowed with bright light as it departed. Both
times, others witnessed identical behavior in the UFOs. We cannot explain
UFO movements in mechanistic terms that apply to jets other types of
vehicles. In UFO activity I've observed the space in which they function
takes on an almost liquid quality. UFOs I've observed are masters of
space-time in non-mechanistic, non-linear terms.
In both the 1985 and 1992 sightings, dusk was deepening but the sky was
still light, and the blackness of the UFO contrasted with the still-lit but
dusky sky. As I looked straight up at the UFO briefly hovering above me at
Lake Casitas I could not see any sky around the blackness of the craft. It
was huge. I could see a circle of dim blue light in the center of the
craft’s bottom, but I couldn’t see the three corners of the triangle. My
attention was riveted to the blue light in the center, and I puzzled over
what it could be.
A faint sense of vaccum enveloped my senses and time seemed to freeze like a
snapshot. I have no idea how long the craft hovered, but, after what seemed
like seconds, it made a swooshing sound that reminded me of a virtually
soundless vacuum that I felt with my body as it departed in the direction of
my right. I use the term "virtually soundless vacuum" because I could feel
subtle vibrations that would have been sound had they been within my range
of hearing and a swoosh that felt like a vacuum.
All nine of us stood in stunned silence for what seemed like a long time
after the UFO departed. By the time we gathered our wits enough to talk, the
sky was dark. I salvaged what I could of dinner but the coals were dying out
by then. Nobody had much of an appetite when we gathered around the to talk.
My husband had been standing at the bottom of the rise and saw the UFO from
a greater distance than I. He said the craft had been the size of a football
field. My husband and Carlos wanted to drive around the lake to see if we
could spot the UFO again, and the nine of us packed ourselves into our
pickup truck. But it was so dark that night we could barely see the rough
road and we returned to camp at around 10:00 p.m. and went to sleep.
We drove back to Los Angeles the next day, changed in subtle ways that would
be revealed in the months and years that followed. I called the only UFO
investigator I knew, William F. Hamilton III, because his wife had been a
long-time friend. Bill interviewed all the witnesses to the UFO sighting and
wrote a report for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).
In August 1986 I moved to Tujunga Canyon after separating from my husband.
Another friend, Bill Bontrager, was given a message to deliver to me when
his truck mysteriously was moved to a different freeway with no direct
access to the freeway he had been traveling. When I moved to Tujunga Canyon
I had no idea it was noted for UFO activity but Bill and I began having
extraordinary UFO sightings soon after I moved there. Almost a year after
moving to Tujunga Canyon in 1986, I discovered Ann Druffel had written a
book about UFO activity in the area, The Tujunga Canyon Contacts. I
read my first UFO book in late 1987, because MUFON investigators had asked
me to not read any UFO-related material until after I had regressions.
After long and protracted debate about the authenticity of abduction and
missing time reports, some MUFON investigators had taken the first steps to
deal with UFO abduction reports as a study. Abductee support groups were in
early stages of organization. When I contacted MUFON, the investigators with
whom I worked instructed me to not read any UFO books until hypnotic
regressions were complete. Hypnosis was the tool of choice for accessing
missing time episodes. I had never read a UFO book or had hypnotic
regression.
I began meeting with the abductee support group, and it became clear that my
experiences were conscious contacts and not abductions. Nonetheless, I
continued with the support group, met a lot of good people, and had hypnotic
regressions before reading UFO books. The regressions revealed several UFO
contacts at the age of seven that I had not put into perspective, because I
had no context to understand the encounter. I thought I had met some funny
people in the woods who wanted to take measurements of shoulder width, hand
length, etc. When the encounter ended they told me to run on home, which was
where I had been going when the encounter started. The thought that it would
be better if I did not tell my mother about the encounter filled my mind as
I ran home. I was several hours late getting home from school, and my mother
was fit to be tied. Telling her about the people I had met was the last
thing I dared do that day, and the memory faded as my life filled with
activity.
A similar but much more extensive encounter occurred in 1963. I was picked
up and examined but not harmed. That UFO contact, in which I looked at
clouds on a screen high above the Earth, awakened my mind, heart and soul.
My sense of the world was far more defined at the age of 15, and I
understood what was said and done as it happened. I never sensed any
interest in my sexuality or reproduction in those contacts. At one point in
our conversations a man laughed and said they were going to take me with
them. I responded that I couldn’t go with them because my parents would be
really upset if I didn’t go back home. The events and conversation in that
UFO contact set the course of my life to find the life force. That was the
most important thing I believed anybody could do after meeting with them. At
the end of the encounter they told me to think about what I could do to help
people when I grew up.
As with the earlier encounter at the age of seven, I was not frightened and
had full memory of all that had happened. Again, I felt that telling people
what had happened would stir up problems I didn’t need. After returning home
that night in 1963 I didn’t talk about the encounter and the memory faded as
my life filled with activity when I returned to school several weeks later.
At the ripe old age of 19 in 1967 I ventured into the world with the stated
objective of finding the life force. With no background in or knowledge of
metaphysical of esoteric practices, I had no hint in 1967 that my life was
set on the course of an initiate seeking the teacher. Although I had no
formal knowledge of Hinduism or Buddhism, or any other world religion for
that matter, I instinctively began meditating and discovered I had little
energy centers in my body, even though I didn’t know they had names. I knew
that I had lived many lives in the past and would live many more in the
future, because the concept was discussed in the UFO contact. In hindsight,
instinctively understanding direct relationships between my feelings,
thoughts, and actions with the world around me was one of the most important
observations I instinctively made after the awakening in 1963. I implicitly
understood the meaning and sequences of karma but would not learn until
years later that it had a name as a formal principle.
As the MUFON investigators had indicated, I was, in fact, a contactee rather
than an abductee. With hypnotic regressions complete, I began to read UFO
books in 1988. My life whirled as the implications of UFO contact integrated
into day-to-day life. I had avoided conflicts between the UFO contacts and
the society in which I lived by not talking about them and allowing them to
fade in memory. But the highly visible and direct UFO sightings would no
longer permit passive forgetfulness. The UFOlk asked me to tell others about
my experiences, and I took the first faltering steps in that direction. I
knew my life in which I had grown comfortable would never be the same. To
speak about my experiences in public moved my life into a fringe that I
would not have chosen EXCEPT the UFO experiences had happened. Many
witnesses had been present in these encounters. As a matter of integrity I
could not deny all that had happened. The consequences of denial were far
worse than those of speaking about the UFOlk, who had awakened me when I was
a child. I plunged into the unknown. In a manner of speaking, I held my
nose, closed my eyes, and took a breath then leaped into uncharted waters.
UFO-related information was far scarcer back in the days of 1988 than it was
in another 20 years. Abductee experiences were breaking the headlines.
Whitley Strieber had recently introduced his abduction experiences in his
book, Communion, and many followed the pace he set with their own
accounts. As terrifying accounts of abductions proliferated, some
investigators developed the hypothesis that emotional distress was a mark of
authenticity in UFO experiences. Paradoxically, as a contactee with affinity
for the UFOlk who made contact, I faced the challenges of swimming against
the currents of what seemed like two simultaneous streams: Abductee wisdom
postulated that I should be traumatized while mainstream wisdom posited that
my experiences were impossible. I was not traumatized and my experiences
were very possible.
What sometimes appeared to be two different streams to be negotiated – the
abductee phenomenon and the mainstream – were, in fact, only one engulfing
stream of the power of belief. As with time travel, nothing mandated the
impossibility of contactee experience except belief itself. Nothing in
classical physics mandates time travel impossible within the accepted
definition of time except belief in the possibility.
My life was in rapid change during those years, and I moved to Seattle,
Washington, in 1989. There, I ran into an acquaintance who had visited
Bashar in Los Angeles, and she stayed with me a few days. While making
coffee in the kitchen while she sat in the living room I audibly heard her
tell me just what she really thought. “You think you know everything, but
there’s a lot you don’t know.” I was shocked to hear her say I thought I
knew everything! The afternoon had been pleasant in all other respects, so I
ignored her. I handed her a cup of coffee and asked about her plans.
The more I thought about the assertion she made the more it bothered me. A
few days later I called her to talk about it and let her know the comment
had bothered me more than I realized at the time. She had no idea what
comment I was talking about and seemed honestly baffled. I repeated exactly
what I had heard. “I didn’t say that to you, but I was thinking it,” she
said. “Bashar has been teaching me how to telepathically transmit, and I’ve
been practicing,” she continued. She and Bashar had done a good job, because
I heard her thoughts as if she had audibly expressed them.
With complete non-judgment Bashar taught us the skills to follow our
excitement, trust our knowingness, work with synchronicity, and revel in
joy. I have never heard Bashar issue a negative judgment on anything;
instead, he teaches how to find purpose and meaning in events. He did that
so well with me that I am entirely content with the joy of my own
experience, and, at the same time, allow each other self to find his/her own
meaning in experience.
