DREAM

THE PANTHER SINGS TO US

by Dee Finney

7-24-99 - DREAM - Joe and I were working in the house. I heard a big cat growling outside, but as it growled, it was singing/humming a tune. It was a song I remembered the words to about him having something that the world can't take away, and that we could have it.

I looked out the window and our own cats were all sitting at or laying near the back door where I feed them, but it didn't appear that any of them were making any noise at all.

I saw a movement then, and a black panther came into view from behind one of my cats. (I have 7 cats...3 black, 3 golden-greybrown, and one grey and white) The black panther was in a low slung crouching stance and moving along the ground once his singing was done.

All of a sudden a man appeared out in the parking lot. He grabbed the panther behind the neck with both hands and subdued the cat. He picked the panther up with his hands on the cat's neck and the cat remained in that crouched position even while he was up in the air.

I asked the man if he needed any help. He said he didn't just as the cat peed on him. The pee flew up into the air in a huge spray as the man deflected it away from his clothing. It was rather amusing, but I didn't laugh out loud.

The man got a firmer grip on the panther's neck and put it inside a psychedelic pink van that had blue flames painted on it in a sort of speed stripe.

We made an agreement to help each other with future problems but I can't remember the details. It was a general agreement.

End of dream.

PANTHER - denotes caution is necessary. A savage and cunning animal. has superior fighting courage of the female. In the positive, it has a beautiful voice, it symbolizes Christ. The Panther is said to keep the diabolical dragon away. A black panther is considered especially dangerous

Side Note: Back in 1981, I joined a metaphysical group because I was having severe emotional trauma from a broken marriage and I needed help to understand why my life was so painful emotionally. The day I met the teacher, he was wearing all black and had a gold chain hanging around his neck with a panther pendant dangling at the bottom.  He told me the story of how he had received that panther.  When, he, himself had joined the group, he had traveled to the home of the founder in another state. In the foyer of her home, she had a huge statue of Buddha on a table and around the neck of the Buddha was this same panther pendant on the gold chain.  She said she had manifested out of the ethers and that it was meant for him and that he should take it and wear it.  He told me that the panther had great meaning; that the panther has the capability of acclimatizing itself or adapting itself to any situation he finds itself in. It stood for harmony and balance. He always wore it when he was teaching.

1-12-06 - DREAM - by Donna:

I was living in a house that had many rooms, and each room had little rooms off of them too.  Our 'teacher' was there and he was going to be the 'singer' and the rest of us were going to be the band.

I went into the kitchen, which had a table like they did in the 50's, metal legs and rim with formica in the center, which was yellow.

I saw our 'teacher' in the room and he went over and lay on the table. He then quickly turned into a beautiful black panther.

I so admired this gorgeous panther, with its glossy coat. I noted that he didn't have his claws out on this paws but withdrew them like a small cat does, but I knew he could be dangerous too.

All of a sudden, the panther changed and became stacks of black funnels, stacked so the thin end was inside the next one.

I wanted to show these funnels to my husband but he wasn't there at the moment.

Then the funnels changed again and they looked like an animal like a reptile.

To save the funnels, I put them into a bag to show to my husband later. I didn't know what else to do with them.

My husband came in then and I showed him the bag with the funnels in, telling him the story of how the teacher had become a panther and then the funnels. I didn't know how to explain what happened.

All of a sudden the teacher came up behind us and he looked normal. I was really stunned so I asked him what had happened because I didn't understand it.

The 'teacher' explained that he had demonstrated that a spiritual person sheds their old skin and becomes new again.

(This is like reincarnation)

The Panther - in Mythology

Quoted from "Animal-Speak" - Author Ted Andrews

THE PANTHER AS A TOTEM

The panther is a very powerful and ancient totem. It is generally associated with a particular species of leopard or jaguar although the cougar is also referred to as panther. As with most of the large cats, the panther is a symbol of ferocity and valor. It embodies aggressiveness and power, but without the solar significance. In the case of the Black Panther, there is definitely a lunar significance. The panther has over 500 voluntary muscles that they can use at will. This reflects a lot about an individual who has such animals as totems. It reflects an ability to do a variety of tasks as he or she wills. It is simply a matter of deciding and putting to use those particular "muscles" - be they physical, mental, psychic, or spiritual. As a whole panthers are loners (solitary) although they do associate with others, they are most comfortable by themselves or within their own marked territory. They are drawn to those individuals who are likewise often solitary.

Of all the panthers, probably the Black Panther has the greatest mysticism associated with it. It is the symbol of the feminine, the dark mother, the dark of the moon. It is the symbol for the life and power of the night. It is a symbol of the feminine energies manifest upon the earth. It is often a symbol of darkness, death, and rebirth from out of it. There still exists in humanity a primitive fear of the dark and of death. The Black Panther helps us to understand the dark and death and the inherent powers of them; and thus by acknowledging them, eliminate our fears and learn to use the powers.

In China there were five mythic cats, sometimes painted like tigers or leopards. The black reigns in the north with winter as its season of power, and water it's most effective element. This is the element of the feminine. This is the totem of greater assertion of feminine in all her aspects: child, virgin, seductress, mother, warrioress, seeress, old wise woman.

When the Black Panther enters your life as a totem, it awakens the inner passions. This can manifest in unbridled expressions of baser powers and instincts. It can also reflect an awakening of the kundalini, signaling a time of not just coming into one's own power. More so, the keynote of the Black Panther is Reclaiming One's True Power. In mythology and scripture, the panther has been a symbol of the "Argos of a Thousand Eyes," who guarded the heifer IO who was loved by Zeus. After his death, the eyes were transferred to the feathers of the peacock. The panther always brings a guardian energy to those to whom it comes.

The panther has also been attributed to Jesus. In the Abodazara (early Jewish commentaries on the scriptures), it is listed as a surname for the family of Joseph. It tells how a man was healed "in the name of Jesus ben Panther." Because of this the panther often signals a time of rebirth after a period of suffering and death on some level. This implies that an old issue may finally begin to be resolved, or even that old longstanding wounds will finally begin to heal, and with the healing will come a reclaiming of power that was lost at the time of wounding.

In the myths and stories of Dionysus the panther is a symbol of unleashing desires, and thus the awakening of the kundalini forces. The panther symbolizes a time of moving from mere poles of existence to a new life without poles or barriers. The panther in a Dionysic manner awakens the unconscious urges and abilities that have been closed down. It signals a time of imminent awakening.

To the Indians of North and South America, the jaguar especially in the form of the Black Panther - was endowed with great magic and power. The jaguar panther climbs, runs, and swims - even better than the tiger. Because it could function so well in so many areas, it became the symbol of mastery over all dimensions. To the Tucano Indians of the Amazon, the roar of the jaguar was the roar of thunder. Thus the Black Panther was the god of darkness and could cause eclipses by swallowing the sun. This reflects the tremendous power inherent within the feminine forces. To those with the panther as a totem, this power will increasingly be experienced. The Arawak Indians say that everything has jaguar. Nothing exists without it. It is the tie to all life and all manifestations of life (thus ties to the eternal feminine within all life). To them, becoming the man-jaguar was the ultimate shapeshifting ritual. The Olmecs created monuments to the jaguar, and the Aztecs and Mayans spoke and taught about the power in becoming half-human and half-jaguar. One who can become a jaguar is shorn of all cultural restrictions. The alter ego is free to act out desires, fears, aspirations. The Indian shamans would perform rituals to borrow jaguar power. One who could do such could do great good or great ill.

Nietzsche once said that "that which does not kill us makes us stronger." It is this same idea that is awakened in the lives of those who open to the power of the panther totem. Those things of childhood and beyond that created suffering and which caused a loss of innate power and creativity are about to be reawakened, confronted and transmuted. The panther marks a new turn in the heroic path of those to whom it comes. It truly reflects more than just coming into one's own power. Rather it reflects a reclaiming of that which was lost and an intimate connection with the great archetypal force behind it. It gives an ability to go beyond what has been imagined, with opportunity to do so with discipline and control. It is the spirit of imminent rebirth."

Panthera - The Dark Father of Jesus?

Blavatsky - Joseph Pantira/Panthera as Jesus Father

Jesus [Latin of Greek Iesous from Hebrew Yeshua` contraction of Yehoshua` a proper name meaning savior or helper, or that which is spacious or widespread] Indubitably a historical character, whose life as narrated in the Gospels is pure allegory, a story of the initiation chamber. There is a story current from medieval times among the Jews, mentioned in the Sepher Toledoth Yeshua` (Book of the Generations of Jesus), to the effect that the Jesus of the Gospels was a Jehoshua ben Panthera, a Jewish adept living about 100 BC. Jesus illustrates the typical sequence in occult history:

1) the coming of a leader or teacher to a people needing to be led and taught;

2) his passing, followed by the adoration, even worship, of his followers;

3) the gradual transformation of historic facts into more or less embroidered legends or mythological tales, which in time cluster so thickly about his memory that his identity as a person, and even his name, are lost;

4) the myth, allegory, or legend; and

5) the efforts of other, later teachers to explain, interpret, and reinstate this earlier teacher, now a purely mythic figure or else materialized and misunderstood.

The Christian Gospels appear to have originated in mystery-dramas, beautiful and often sublime in their inner significances, in which were depicted the experiences of the neophyte and adept in his union with the Logos, and hence such unified individual was called a Logos incarnate as a man, the Logos itself being variously named as Christos or Dionysos, and to have been by stages adapted and given a semi-historical guise, as has happened in other instances besides the Christian mythos. Christ therefore, or the Christos, is not a particular man or an especial incarnation of divinity, but a generic term for the divine as incarnated in all human beings, although Jesus was undoubtedly the name of this great Jewish initiate-avatara as an individual. Hence this universal allegory in its Christian version has a true historical peg to hang from; for there did appear, sometime before the Christian era, a special cyclic messenger who was due to come on the change of the ecliptic point from one sign of the celestial zodiac to another, from the sign of Aries to Pisces. In theosophical literature, Jesus is considered to be an avatara, the messenger for the European Messianic or Piscean cycle. As such, Jesus represented a ray sent from the Wondrous Being or spiritual hierarch of the earth into the soul of a pure human being, while the racial buddha, Gautama Buddha, supplied the intermediate or psychological nature in this act of white magic.

"But it is probable that the theosophic effort which Jesus attempted to initiate did not endure for fifty years after his death. Almost immediately after his passing, his disciples, all half-instructed, and in some cases almost illiterate, men . . . foisted upon the world of their time the forms and beliefs of early Christianity; and had there been nothing but these, that religious system had not lived another fifty years. But what happened? During the oncoming of the dark cycle after Jesus (which began as before said about the time of Pythagoras), the last few rays from the setting sun of the ancient light shone feebly in the minds of certain of these Christian Fathers, Clement of Alexandria for one, and Origen of Alexandria for another, and in one or two more like these, who had been initiated at least in the lowest of some of the then degenerate pagan Mysteries; and these men entered into the Christian Church and introduced some poor modicum of that light, . . . which they still cherished; and these rays they derived mainly from the Neo-pythagorean and the Neoplatonic system" .

The Hebrew name Jah or Jehovah became identified in the mind of Christians with the name of Jesus, although Jesus never was in any wise identical with the Jewish Jehovah, but was identified in initiation through his own inner god or Father in Heaven, and the Jewish Jehovah mystically was the regent of the planet Saturn.

The first three letters in Greek make I.H.S. placed at the head of representations of the crucified Jesus, often said to stand for Iesus Hominum Salvator (Jesus the savior of men) or In hoc signo (in this sign), with reference to the alleged vision of a cross of the Emperor Constantine. Jesus is a form of a worldwide mystery-name, whose importance was its meaning, usually given as a three-letter monogram, analogous to the Sanskrit Aum. We find it in the Greek Gnostic Iao and variants are common in ancient Greece, such as Iasios, Iasion, Iason, Iasos; and initiates were known as Iasides or sons of Iaso.

Panthera or Pandira According to the apocryphal Jewish writing Sepher Toledoth Yeshua` (book of the genealogy of Jesus), Jesus was the son of Joseph Panthera, supposed by tradition to have been a Roman soldier, and Mary; hence he was known as Ben Panthera (Panthera's son).

NOTE: While doing research for this page, I came across other symbols which my dreams have indicated recently, including the 9 x 9 = 81 Cipher, the "Tiler" which is the guard of the Masonic Door which is in this last link.  I'm coming to the conclusion that I'm being taught secrets of the Gnostics by a spirit guide and if I keep researching the clues in my dreams, I'm going to learn some incredible things I had no knowledge of before.
