Song in dream

I dreamed a song this morning. The only lyrics I remember are "And it takes teachers greater than him." This line has been playing over and over in my mind ever since I woke up. The music is gentle and makes you want to sway back and forth with a little bounce. It feels very uplifting and comfortable to have this tune playing over and over in my mind. But when I look closely at the words, I'm puzzled and almost discouraged. From the context of the dream, I know that the 'him' is supposed to refer to Jesus, and that the line means that it will take teachers greater than Jesus to bring spirituality to the whole world. Given the greatness of the teachings attributed to Jesus, I almost find it discouraging to think that it would take teachers (plural) of greater caliber to take it further. And yet, the music is still very uplifting.

Peace, Love and Chocosharing,

To Jon and All who are awakened or desire to be so:

The guru (teacher) is most pleased when the chela (student/disciple) becomes greater than himself.

Matthew 23:11 - "He who is greatest among you shall be your servant."

Mark 32:43 - "On the contrary, whoever wishes to become great shall be your servant; 44, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be the slave of all; 45: for the Son of Man also has not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Luke 7:28 - "I say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet then John the Baptist; yet the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."

Luke 9:48 - "Whoever receives this little child for my sake, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives him who sent me. For he who is least among you, he is the greatest."

Luke 22:26 - " But not so with you. On the contrary, let him who is greatest among you become as the youngest, and him who is the chief as the servant. 27 - For which is the greater, he who reclines at table, or he who serves?"

John 14:10 - "Dost thou not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you I speak not on my own authority. But the Father dwelling in me, it is he who does the works. 11 - Do you believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me? 12 - Otherwise, believe because of the works themselves. Amen, Amen, I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he also shall do, and greater than these shall do, because I am going to the Father. 13 - And whatever you ask in my name, that I will do, in order that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 - And if you ask me anything in my name, I will do it."

John 14:23 - "If anyone love me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make abode with him. 24- And the word that you have heard is not mine, but the Father's who sent me. 25: These things I have spoken to you while dwelling with you. 26: But the Advocate, the Holy spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and  bring to your mind whatever I have said to you. "

John 15:7 - "If you abide in me, and if my words abide in you, ask whatever you will and it shall be done to you. 8: In this is my Father glorified, that you may bear much fruit, and become my disciples. 9: As the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Abide in my love. 10: If you keep my commandments you will abide in his love. 11 - These things I have spoken to you that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. 12 - This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 - Greater love than this no one has, that one lay down his life for his friends. 14 - You are my friends if you do the things I command you."

John 15: 15 - "I have called you friends, because all things that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you. 16: - You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and have appeared to you that you should go and bear fruit; and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give you. 17 - these things I command you that you may love one another."

John 15:26 - "But when the Advocate has come, whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness concerning me. 27 And you also bear witness, because from the beginning you  are with me."

John 16:13 - "but when he, the Spirit of truth has come, he will teach you all the truth. For he will speak on his own authority, but whatever he will hear he will speak, and the things that are to come he will declare to you. 14 - He will glorify me because he will receive of what is mine, and declare it to you. "

John 17:13 - "but now I am coming to thee; and these things I speak in the world, in order that they may have my joy made full in themselves. 14 - I have given them thy word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 - I do not pray that thou  take them out of the world, but that thou keep them from evil. 16 - They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 - Sanctify them in the truth. Thy word is truth. 18 - Even as thou hast sent me into the world, so I also have sent them into the world. 19 - And for them I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. 20 - Yet not for these only do I pray, but for those also who through their word are to believe in me 21 - that all may be ONE, even as thou, Father, in me and I in thee; that they also may be ONE in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me, I have given to them, that they may be ONE, even as we are ONE. 23 - I in them and thou in me; that they may be perfected in unity, and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and that thou hast loved them even as thou hast loved me. "

John 18:36 - " My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my followers would have fought that I might not be delivered to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here. 37 - Pilate therefore said to him, "Thou art then a King?" Jesus answered, "Thou sayest it: I am a King. This is why I was born, and why I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is IN the truth, hears my voice."

End of Quotes:

If one man's words have come down through the ages to speak the truth to mankind, how much greater will the "many" speak the truth that we are all ONE in God, and the unity of our hearts brings the JOY to the enlightened that we are ONE in LOVE.

Love, Light, and Joy
