I tried to get my roommates to look at it, but they were busy trying to find clothes to wear for the day.

I then saw what looked like sunlight coming up over the horizon in the northwest and I knew it should be coming up in the northeast as it was 7:30 a.m.  I felt very distressed by this too.

Then as I watched, I realized the floating sun with the flames going by my window was a giant balloon on strings held by a man on the ground. 

I was looking out the north window now and the man was dressed like an evil clown and he pointed to a UPS truck parked by the north curb of the street.  When he looked back, I pointed to the truck and then to myself and he nodded, indicating he was delivering a package for me.

One of my roommates, who was dressed in a long white nightgown and barefoot, almost stepped out the window which had become a door - she looked rather angelic - with blonde hair and that long nightgown.  I made her step back so she wouldn't fall out the door.

So then we went down to the lobby to fetch the package. I somehow knew this was not going to be a welcome package, considering the means by which it was delivered.

There were a lot of old ladies in the lobby.  My roommate and I took the large package we found by the door and took it to a table to open it in the lobby as it a group of brightly wrapped rounded gifts that was obviously baked goodies and cakes for Christmas.

One of the old women said, "I just turned 70 - how old are you?" 

I answered, "69".  (This is true through Christmas of 2008)

She helped spread out the goodies on the tables for the others to share.

I wanted desperately to eat some but I knew I couldn't, so I left the white bread, globs of butter, and turkey slices all stay on the platter for them and I only took a few pieces of turkey for my roommates and office co-workers upstairs.

I went to my upstairs office then, and the head secretary was complaining that she had forgotten her desk key somewhere.  On top of her desk was a golden object that was more brilliant than anything I've ever seen in person. She showed me a brilliant gold key that went with it and it had a round end on it, not like a door key.

I asked her if I could see it closer because I'm nearsighted, but she was reluctant to let me come too close to it. She stood about six feet away from me and I still couldn't clearly see what it was.  She told me then that the gold key went to a pipe organ.

I told her my father could identify the key for her, but she wouldn't let me near it.

Solar Cycle 24

Solar flares produce high energy particles and radiation that are dangerous to living organisms. However, at the surface of the Earth we are well protected from the effects of solar flares and other solar activity by the Earth's magnetic field and atmosphere. The most dangerous emissions from flares are energetic charged particles (primarily high-energy protons) and electromagnetic raditation (primarily x-rays).

The x-rays from flares are stopped by our atmosphere well above the Earth's surface. They do disturb the Earth's ionosphere, however, which in turn disturbs some radio communications. Along with energetic ultraviolet radiation, they heat the Earth’s outer atmosphere, causing it to expand. This increases the drag on Earth-orbiting satellites, reducing their lifetime in orbit. Also, both intense radio emission from flares and these changes in the atmosphere can degrade the precision of Global Positioning System (GPS) measurements.

The energetic particles produced at the Sun in flares seldom reach the Earth. When they do, the Earth's magnetic field prevents almost all of them from reaching the Earth's surface. The small number of very high energy particles that does reach the surface does not significantly increase the level of radiation that we experience every day.

The most serious effects on human activity occur during major geomagnetic storms. It is now understood that the major geomagnetic storms are induced by coronal mass ejections (CMEs). Coronal mass ejections are usually associated with flares, but sometimes no flare is observed when they occur. Like flares, CMEs are more frequent during the active phase of the Sun's approximately 11 year cycle. The last maximum in solar activity was in the year 2000. The next maximum is expected to occur in late 2011 or in 2012.

 PROTO NEW-CYCLE SUNSPOT: For the second time this month, a new-cycle sunspot is struggling to form. SOHO magnetograms of the sun's surface reveal a planet-sized magnetic dipole with the telltale polarity of Solar Cycle 24:

Last week, these magnetic fields briefly coelesced into a pair of dark cores, then subsided. The apparition was too ephemeral to be included in official daily sunspot counts. For now, put this active region in the category of "struggling proto-sunspot."

Sometimes the ongoing solar minimum seems like it will never end. This proto-sunspot, as well as a similar one in early August, offers hope to observers that the solar cycle is actually moving forward. The calm won't last forever.

The '20 Count/RDV', is a warning and prediction from various intertribal medicine societies of the people of North America. It is my belief, that our greatest present concern, is that of advanced technology being used not only in a completely irresponsible way, but also to reduce the population of the Earth. Dr Boyd Graves has proven that is the case with AIDS. However, 'technology' is also, I believe, being used in other deadly ways.

Alex Collier states that he has had frequent contact with Extraterrestrials since childhood. I have the intuition that some of what Collier has warned us of, is true. And I think this below is the key part in all his messages.

7-7-2003 - I heard a long, personal story of alien manipulation today from a dear friend who is a life-long abductee/contactee, which I know for certain is true. The black-ops ETs with IQ's of between 300 and 400 with supercomputers have been working for 80 years on the physics of making the 'Tuning' occur faster than it should and the exact moment necessary to make the earth change frequencies to the positive, because their own planet turned negative in their own past. I've been told that 11 teams of 10 psychics each have been in training since the 70's, to work on this project.

That might be all well and good in their minds to make something positive rather than negative, if you don't understand what it means to have the earth 'Tuned". It ultimately means the deaths of billions of people will occur before the zero point is reached.

THE TUNING

I hate to admit that I've heard this stuff in other places for years and didn't want to accept it. My friend said that over the weekend, some ETS who are like the US black government - hijacked and arrested and held hostage the ET she usually works with. Then they tried to manipulate her into using her psychic powers to do something she had decided was not a good thing to do. This whole thing is related to HAARP. It seems that where the HAARP scientists said that they were going to bombard our own atmosphere - they were bombarding the sun instead. I don't know if you follow space weather at all, but the sun was supposed to reach its peak and diminish, but instead has continually gotten worse As a result, earth weather is also out of control. Sunspots, solar storms; what is going on is not just sunspots - but huge explosions. I've seen the photos of 'light' perhaps lazer torpedoes being shot at the sun for quite some time now. Kent Steadman has been following those for a couple years now. We have the photographs of these torpedoes hitting the sun also. The evidence is there for all to see. It affect both  our weather here on earth as well as communications. I don't really personally care about the communications so much because I can live without a cellphone - but people are getting killed because of the violent weather. And this is just the beginning. A pole shift is what is being worked towards because of the magnetics but that's not all either; the core of the earth has become unstable too, which will cause the pole shift. There will be a large increase in volcanic activity before the shift happens.

7-25-03 - It has come to my knowledge that the little greys who are scientists have come to some kind of 'awakening' since this event occurred two weeks ago. They assumed all this while that because they had a 'hive mind/consciousness' with each other that they knew everything that was going on within their own government, and just now found out that they were being lied to by their own government.  (Sounds familiar to me thinking about my own government while I write this too)  Because they are beholden to their government to feed, house, and transport all these little scientists around the galaxy, they don't have much of a choice if they want to continue their work.  

Meanwhile, since this weekend event occurred, there is a lot of thought being given to the topic of the 'spirit' of the planets  and sun, not just of human beings and animals. This is the awakening that the ETs are going to have to deal with in the very near future if they haven't considered it already. Because these crafts are so large and take so much metal and other materials to construct, it takes an entire planet, which up to now have been completely destroyed to provide that material.  They are careful to make sure there are are no animals or other life on these planets before they destroy them, yet no consideration has been given to whether the planet had a 'spirit' housed within it. The Native Americans were well aware of the spirit of the planet and of the sun, as well as other ancient tribes in Africa. Why weren't the ETs aware of this? Or were they so scientific minded, (perhaps like our own scientists) that if it couldn't be proven in a laboratory and tested and retested, that it didn't have life?

These questions need to be addressed soon or this program has basically come to an end. Now that the psychics are aware of what is going on with the 'spirit factor' they will not participate in the program. Their eyes have been opened to the truth.

In what could be the simplest explanation for one component of global warming, a new study shows the Sun's radiation has increased by .05 percent per decade since the late 1970s.

The increase would only be significant to Earth's climate if it has been going on for a century or more, said study leader Richard Willson, a Columbia University researcher also affiliated with NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies.

The Sun's increasing output has only been monitored with precision since satellite technology allowed necessary observations. Willson is not sure if the trend extends further back in time, but other studies suggest it does.

"This trend is important because, if sustained over many decades, it could cause significant climate change," Willson said.

In a NASA-funded study recently published in Geophysical Research Letters, Willson and his colleagues speculate on the possible history of the trend based on data collected in the pre-satellite era.

"Solar activity has apparently been going upward for a century or more," Willson told SPACE.com today.

Significant component

Further satellite observations may eventually show the trend to be short-term. But if the change has indeed persisted at the present rate through the 20^th Century, "it would have provided a significant component of the global warming the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports to have occurred over the past 100 years," he said.

That does not mean industrial pollution has not been a significant factor, Willson cautioned.

Scientists, industry leaders and environmentalists have argued for years whether humans have contributed to global warming, and to what extent. The average surface temperature around the globe has risen by about 1 degree Fahrenheit since 1880. Some scientists say the increase could be part of natural climate cycles. Others argue that greenhouse gases produced by automobiles and industry are largely to blame.

Willson said the Sun's possible influence has been largely ignored because it is so difficult to quantify over long periods.

Confounding efforts to determine the Sun's role is the fact that its energy output waxes and wanes every 11 years. This solar cycle, as it is called, reached maximum in the middle of 2000 and achieved a second peak in 2002. It is now ramping down toward a solar minimum that will arrive in about three years.

Connections

Changes in the solar cycle -- and solar output -- are known to cause short-term climate change on Earth. At solar max, Earth's thin upper atmosphere can see a doubling of temperature. It swells, and denser air can puff up to the region of space where the International Space Station orbits, causing increased drag on the ship and forcing more frequent boosts from space shuttles.

Sun Cycle 24 will peak in about 2011.

Sun Cycle 25, which will result in a COOLING effect, will peak in about 2022. And look at the chart (first link) showing the HIGH peak in the 1930s -- another WARM era.

These global warming whackos are losing the argument, jd, but they sure are persistent. The mere fact that they ignore these scientific and proven facts in their argument, and considering they refuse to factor them into the debate (much less even mention them), their credibility is about zero.

In 1996, near the last solar minimum, the Sun is nearly featureless. By 1999, approaching maximum, it is dotted by sunspots and fiery hot gas trapped in magnetic loops.

Solar max has also been tied to a 2 percent increase in clouds over much of the United States.

It might seem logical to assume tie climate to solar output, but firm connections are few. Other studies looking further back in time have suggested a connection between longer variations in solar activity and temperatures on Earth.

Examinations of ancient tree rings and other data show temperatures declined starting in the 13^th Century, bottomed out at 2 degrees below the long-term average during the 17^th Century, and did not climb back to previous levels until the late 19^th Century. Separate records of sunspots, auroral activity (the Northern Lights) and terrestrial deposits of certain substances generated in atmospheric reactions triggered by solar output, suggest the Sun was persistently active prior to the onset of this Little Ice Age, as scientists call the event.

Solar activity was lowest during the 17^th Century, when Earth was most frigid.

Large-scale ocean and climate variations on Earth can also mask long-term trends and can make it difficult to sort out what is normal, what is unusual, and which effects might or might not result from shifts in solar radiation.

To get above all this, scientists rely on measurements of total solar energy, at all wavelengths, outside Earth's atmosphere. The figure they derive is called Total Solar Irradiance (TSI).

Heating up

The new study shows that the TSI has increased by about 0.1 percent over 24 years. That is not enough to cause notable climate change, Willson and his colleagues say, unless the rate of change were maintained for a century or more.

On time scales as short as several days, the TSI can vary by 0.2 percent due to the number and size of sunspots crossing the face of the Sun. That shift, said to be insignificant to weather, is however equal to the total amount of energy used by humans, globally, for a year, the researchers estimate.

The study analyzed data from six satellites orbiting Earth at different times over the 24 years. Willson ferreted out errors in one of the datasets that had prevented previous studies from discovering the trend.

A separate recent study of Sun-induced magnetic activity near Earth, going back to 1868, provides compelling evidence that the Sun's current increase in output goes back more than a century, Willson said.

He said firm conclusions about whether the present changes involve a long-term trend or a relatively brief aberration should come with continued monitoring into the next solar minimum, expected around 2006.

Mars Melt Hints at Solar, Not Human, Cause for Warming, Scientist Says

Simultaneous warming on Earth and Mars suggests that our planet's recent climate changes have a natural—and not a human-induced—cause, according to one scientist's controversial theory.

Earth is currently experiencing rapid warming, which the vast majority of climate scientists says is due to humans pumping huge amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. (Get an overview: "Global Warming Fast Facts".)

Mars, too, appears to be enjoying more mild and balmy temperatures.

In 2005 data from NASA's Mars Global Surveyor and Odyssey missions revealed that the carbon dioxide "ice caps" near Mars's south pole had been diminishing for three summers in a row.

Habibullo Abdussamatov, head of space research at St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory in Russia, says the Mars data is evidence that the current global warming on Earth is being caused by changes in the sun.

"The long-term increase in solar irradiance is heating both Earth and Mars," he said.

Solar Cycles

Abdussamatov believes that changes in the sun's heat output can account for almost all the climate changes we see on both planets.

Mars and Earth, for instance, have experienced periodic ice ages throughout their histories.

"Man-made greenhouse warming has made a small contribution to the warming seen on Earth in recent years, but it cannot compete with the increase in solar irradiance," Abdussamatov said.

By studying fluctuations in the warmth of the sun, Abdussamatov believes he can see a pattern that fits with the ups and downs in climate we see on Earth and Mars.

Abdussamatov's work, however, has not been well received by other climate scientists.

"His views are completely at odds with the mainstream scientific opinion," said Colin Wilson, a planetary physicist at England's Oxford University.

"And they contradict the extensive evidence presented in the most recent IPCC [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] report." (Related: "Global Warming 'Very Likely' Caused by Humans, World Climate Experts Say" [February 2, 2007].)

Amato Evan, a climate scientist at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, added that "the idea just isn't supported by the theory or by the observations."

Planets' Wobbles

The conventional theory is that climate changes on Mars can be explained primarily by small alterations in the planet's orbit and tilt, not by changes in the sun.

"Wobbles in the orbit of Mars are the main cause of its climate change in the current era," Oxford's Wilson explained. (Related: "Don't Blame Sun for Global Warming, Study Says" [September 13, 2006].)

All planets experience a few wobbles as they make their journey around the sun. Earth's wobbles are known as Milankovitch cycles and occur on time scales of between 20,000 and 100,000 years.

These fluctuations change the tilt of Earth's axis and its distance from the sun and are thought to be responsible for the waxing and waning of ice ages on Earth.

Mars and Earth wobble in different ways, and most scientists think it is pure coincidence that both planets are between ice ages right now.

"Mars has no [large] moon, which makes its wobbles much larger, and hence the swings in climate are greater too," Wilson said.

No Greenhouse

Perhaps the biggest stumbling block in Abdussamatov's theory is his dismissal of the greenhouse effect, in which atmospheric gases such as carbon dioxide help keep heat trapped near the planet's surface.

He claims that carbon dioxide has only a small influence on Earth's climate and virtually no influence on Mars.

But "without the greenhouse effect there would be very little, if any, life on Earth, since our planet would pretty much be a big ball of ice," said Evan, of the University of Wisconsin.

Most scientists now fear that the massive amount of carbon dioxide humans are pumping into the air will lead to a catastrophic rise in Earth's temperatures, dramatically raising sea levels as glaciers melt and leading to extreme weather worldwide.

Abdussamatov remains contrarian, however, suggesting that the sun holds something quite different in store.

"The solar irradiance began to drop in the 1990s, and a minimum will be reached by approximately 2040," Abdussamatov said. "It will cause a steep cooling of the climate on Earth in 15 to 20 years."

The United Nations, as of 2007 continued to state that global warming is man -made despite evidence to the contrary.  The joke going around for awhile was 'I wonder how many SUV's are on Mars?"

Mars has just as much global warming despite its lack of atmosphere like ours and it's distance for the sun.  Other evidence shows that 'all' planets are undergoing global warming - just as earth is.

We don't have a problem with suppressing greenhouse emissions - there is no reason why we should ignore what helps to cause unhealthy air for people to breathe - but we need to face all the facts, not the ones we like best.

"Germany is proposing that all nations agree to slow down global warming this century to no more than 2 degrees Celsius -- about 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Experts say in order to do that, current greenhouse gas emissions coming out of cars and industries would have to be cut back 50 percent below 1990 levels over the next forty years. But the Bush Administration has rejected that idea. "

The Solar Cycle 24 will last approximately 11 years. The maximum will be around 2012 and the next minimum will start around 2017 to 2019.

It has been predicted by scientists that Solar Cycle 24 will be the worst experienced in the last 50 years. That's what we have to look forward to.

When Solar Cycle 25 begins, there will be so few sunspots, that the earth will plunge back down into a cooling period.  It remains to be seen what kind of temperature differences will result in the meantime.

What is most interesting about the Geomagnetic Average Planetary Index graph above is what happened around October 2005. Notice the sharp drop in the magnetic index and the continuance at low levels, almost as if something “switched off”.
