DEES DREAMS AND VISIONS -

AUGUST 2015 

8-1-15  - VISION - I was looking at a computer screen and all of a sudden a 'white light' hippopotamus appeared in the center of the screen and lumbered across the screen to the right.

When it reached the right side, it appeared in the center of the screen again and again lumbered to the right side again.

I didn't wait to see if it would do it again.

NOTE: It represents, wisdom, power, emotional depth, creation, imaginative depth, healing, proper use of aggression, ability to more gracefully go through emotions, protection of family, mother-fury, birth of new ideas, lucid dreaming, spirit contact.

8-1-15  DREAM  :  I went to a place that was dark, old concrete like where poor people go, and a handsome guy, dressed in black, who turned out to be a priest sat me down on a wooden chair and looked in my mouth and told me I was going to need a coating of amalgam on my teeth and it would cost $318.

I told him if I need something done to my teeth, I would go to my own dentist.

I couldn't figure why a priest would be a dentist in an old dirty building like this.

I noticed there were 6 more priests in a dark back room, on the other side of a set of double old wooden doors.

DREAM CONTINUED:  Anita and I decided to leave and I had dropped my car keys on the dirty floor and had trouble finding them.  We finally made it out of there but had to go through this maze-like walk way through several buildings that were made of dirty brick and old dark concrete.

I'm not sure if this is the same dream, but I was looking at a computer calendar written in Latin.

At the top was the word TRIGONOMETRIC.  Below that was the number 278, and below that, the number 274.

NOTES:  I looked up the word Trignometric:  The study of triangle functions and modeling periodic phenomena.

To the Church in Pergamum

Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. 14 But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might get food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality. 15 So also you have some who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans. 16 Therefore repent. If not,  I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth.  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. to the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone that no one knows except the one who receives it.’

To the Church in Thyatira

18 “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: ‘The words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bronze.

19 s“ ‘I know your works, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your latter works exceed the first. 20 But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman tJezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. 21 I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality. 22 Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works, 23 and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works. 24 But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not learned what some call the deep things of Satan, to you I say, I do not lay on you any other burden. 25 Only hold fast what you have until I come. 26 the one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, dot him I will give authority over the nations, 27 and he will rule them with a rod of iron, gas when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star. 29 he who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’

To the Church in Sardis

3 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars.

“ ‘I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. 3 remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. 4 Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. 5 she one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’

To the Church in Philadelphia

To the Church in Laodicea

14 “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the amen, be a faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation.

15 “ ‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. should that you were either cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. 17 for you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. 18 I  counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. aIf anyone hears my voice and opens the door, bI will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. 21 the one who conquers, dI will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as eI also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 pHe who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ ”

8-2-15 - I was watching TV about politics and closed my eyes to rest them.  I heard the TV crack really loudly so I opened my eyes and looked at the TV  screen.  It spoke words that said, "We'll connect with you where you are."

Cool, eh?

8-2-15- VISION.  The word DIALOGUE.

Then he said, "Listen! I want you to finish up that project you started today.  If you need redesign these buildings, then do it! The money will be coming in soon and you must be ready.

I said. "OK! AND HE SAID, "GO TO IT!

note:  it took me a couple days to get my computers to cooperate, but I have the designs in hand now, if not ready to build.

8-3-15 - I working in a large city and in a large concrete building with many older people.

I was told that the warning signal for WWIII was that dance music would be playing over the loudspeaker system.

All of a sudden, music started playing over the loudspeaker and every guy grabbed the nearest woman or guy and they were like rocking back and forth and crying their hearts out at the same time.

WWIII had just started with a ship being blown up.

NOTE:  It was announced that China and Russia are now in war games aimed at wiping out America.  At the same time Obama invited China's troops to America so they could learn how we operate.  Isn't that nice that we train the enemy too?

8-3-15 - DREAM - I was with my teacher and I had to do something by cutting something and when I was done, I was less than 1/4" off and proud of it.

8-3-15 - VISION - I was looking at a colored map of the western coast of America.  I saw a giant hand come and wiped down the west coast from Washington to Southern California under the ground..

I assume that means earthquakes.

God punishing us for something?

8-3-15 - VOICE - A deep male voice sang "WE CALL IT JESUS"

It sounded like an old black man.

The name was broke in half  JE  -  SUS!!!

Then the voice sang  "THEY CALL IT  GI-GALL.  It was pronounced GUY GAL.

8-3-15 - VISION   -  JULY 17

8-4-15 - DREAM - I was at an airport in an inner hallway and all the planes were unkempt chickens and feathers flying everywhere.

I came back another day and not only were the feathers cleaned up, the chickens, ducks and geese didn't look the same.  They all had longer, sleeker necks, longer wings at back swept angles, like they were now better at flying.

But they were still hidden from the public.

8-5-15 - DREAM -  I was at home, waiting for my husband, when a friend of his came over, a very nice man, with an English accent.  (He looked like Colin from The Young and Restless TV show) He had his wife with him and a small red guitar.

He sat in a big old chair and played notes on that guitar with such care and ease and beauty, I began to think I was in Heaven.

The guitar seemed to grow in size as he played it and it wasn't long until I wanted to play the instrument myself.

The problem I had was that the high notes on the piano are on the right and the high notes on the guitar were on the left and that confused me a bit.

His wife was bored with the music and she left the room, leaving just me, the man, and the guitar and I was falling in love with him and his music.

Eventually I decided that I wanted him and the guitar more than I wanted my husband and told him so.

That made him so happy, he almost jumped for joy and ran from the room and I went outside and around to the basement door that was outside and I followed him to the basement that was painted a soft green color and the man ran through the basement to an inner door.

He ran into the room and I could hear him telling the person how overjoyed he was to have won me over. 

He then dragged my husband out of the room where he had been locked in and dragged him in front of ne so fast I could only reach out and grab my husband's shirt and say, "Hi!" as he passed by me.

I was surprise to see him and didn't know he was in the basement all the time the man with the guitar was wooing me.

But it was the guitar and the music I wanted, not really the man.

I wanted to play the guitar and the music and play it myself and make that beautiful music.

I woke up and saw Colin - in pause mode - on my TV screen.  No wonder I dreamt about him.

8-5-15 -  MEDITATION  -  DATES  9-12 AND 9-14 

I then saw a man - a doctor, use calipers and measured the face of a bald man the distance between the bottom of his eyelids and the bottom of his jaw.

VOICE -  WALTER IS A FALSE ROOT DETECTIVE.

NOTE:  I used that bald man in an earlier meditation in Arizona to reference the previous bald man and looked up  Walter Health Retreat and found more research on different types of retreats than I thought of before.

THEN I saw way at the bottom of a page, the numbers  6  16  69 

That date could easily refer to an earlier date when my friend Nancy died and I spent 6 months in a chair mourning her.  During that time I purchase a book by Ruth Montgomery and she channeled Rather Ford and wrote about Jeanne Dixon.  In that book she had instructions on how to astral travel, and the first time I tried it, I saw my friend Nancy standing in a meadow in the dress she was buried in, and teats how I knew she was okay.  That was a big turning point in my life.

Then I saw a forest scene and saw a single blue jay fly all the way across the screen.

I looked up the symbolism of that and the nicest one was "over confidant"

VOICE:  a girl HUGGED  a dog and went into a coma.

I saw a name (can't remember it) and then some automatic writing start.

AFTERNOON MEDITATION:  I closed my eyes and immediately saw myself wearing the same shirt I'm wearing now.  My eyes got much larger and turned brown, then my hair got thicker, longer and dark brown.  Then I saw my lips get much larger with rose colored lipstick, and they started vibrating and then shown with light.

It was pretty overwhelming.  Does that mean I'm going to start channeling that woman I became?

8-6-15 - DREAMS  First I was with a large group of very young girl children. then later with female ladies, and even though each person had something different to share with the others, everyone was accused of stealing from the others and everyone was angry at every other person.

8-5-15 - DREAM - I was with my husband and boys, doing a tour of a whole outdoors and old wooden city like being in a museum where you had a dim sky with no sun, and it was just on the verge of cold with cold dry snow, sky being dull low hanging clouds,  We drove to the fake town, very crowded old buildings, and my husband Jim told me that I ever needed a place to stay someday, I could get a room at Mary Janes.

We were all wrapped in blankets because it was on the verge of cold and chilly, and we ended up all crawling into a series of large beds, wrapped in blankets, trying to ward off the chilly feeling.  We didn't have any conversations, just looking around at the atmosphere and buildings.  There were no other people or vehicles anywhere.

I woke up with the same wrapped in my blanket the same way, just off being chilly with the light on next to me so it wasn't really dark, but nor bright either.

NOTE:  Two of the people in the dream are recently deceased so it was like we were visiting where they are living now in Heaven.

8-6-15 -  DREAM X 2    I was seemingly outside, and in front of me was like a tree of life made of black heart-shaped leaves, and there was a man standing on each leaf with a long handled tool in his hand.  Whether they were hoes or rakes or shovels or pokers, I don't know.  I didn't look at each man individually, just that there were over 100 men and I knew that each man had to be fed.  It seemed that feeding the men was my job, but they were the farmers and just standing there waiting to be fed, I didn't know how to handle that.

8-9-15 - VISION - Someone removing a clear tubular box.  Several visions about large purses and moving money around.  The last purse was about 3 feet square, really pretty and embroidered with flowers.  It was held by a pretty woman with long dark hair.

8-9-15 - DAPHNE'S DREAM.  She was told it is better to be baptized in brackish water than not to be baptized at all.

As she was waking up, she was told to red the bible verse,  Daniel 9:11.

All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you.  Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we gave sinned against you.

See that verse number?  That is ominous!

8-10-15 - DREAM - I was working on a large chart of a garden and found a $500 bill and attached it to the chart.  I got excited that I might find more money in the garden and after some time went by I did find another $500 bill.

But that started to make me wonder why there was so much money in the garden.

Considering this is the worst garden I've ever had, that was an amazing dream. 

8-12-15  VISION  - I was in a sandy area like a beach.  All of a sudden, a spot on the left exploded upward toward the right. This happened several times revealing rocks I hadn't seen before in the center and on the right.

NOTE: This is either political or prophesying ISIS activity like this happened several times this week.

NOTE 2:  China had two big explosions later this date, killing at least 70 people and injuring hundreds of others.  News showed it looked like bombs going off in alchemical plant.  A parking lot of identical looking cars were burned to a crisp.  Apparently, they were making fake expensive cars  and selling them for 1/3 of the real price.

8-13-15 - DREAM - I was standing on a hill with President Obama. He was making speeches and it seemed he was upset with me.  I saw three dark blotches in the grass on the hill.

I woke up and couldn't figure out why I had that dream.  While I was thinking about the dream, my friend Mikki called. She said she had her radio on and while we were talking, her radio announced that President Obama was going to be in Derry New Hampshire, which is the town she had to go to her doctor in, so traffic was going to be terrible.  Since she is very ill, that's really not good.

The blotches on the hill were in a triangle pointing down.

8-12-15 - MEDITATION -  I saw a peach colored long sleeve made of silk being unwrapped from a roll inside a box that held the roll that looked like one of those dictating machines /I used to use at work back in 1997. I used to type the audio  that was on the roll.

Then I saw a woman dictating into the machine.  (The woman with the dark hair from a previous dream.  This was like automatic writing being dictated.

8-14-15 - DREAM - It felt like I was writing for hours, proving that humans are reptilian.

8-15-15 - 11:11 pm

I heard a clink against the lamp that was by my right shoulder.

I closed my eyes for a moment and heard someone calling for" help!

I asked my son Tom, who is in spirit to help the man, and he said he would.

8-16-15 - OPEN EYED VISION.  (I've never had one of these before)

I woke up and heard a noise in the kitchen.  I opened my eyes, raised my head and looked in that direction.  I saw a tall. thin man, wearing a white T shirt and long pajamas with a brown camouflage type pattern on them.  He was walking forward toward the back door like he was either ill or old.  I didn't get a good look at his face to identify him

I yelled for Joe and he answered me from the kitchen, and came into view just as the tall man in pajamas disappeared from view,

Joe almost walked into him, because Joe didn't see the man walking in front of him.

It turned out the tall man, wearing the pajamas and T shirt was my son Tom, but I have to admit that seeing him freaked me out until I was able to identify him psychically.

8-17-15 - DREAM -  I was at a political rally.  The most prominent man was Donald Trump, but there were women there as well. 

It was a tightly packed scene but it was similar to a pinwheel and nobody was on top the whole time, but they were all hanging on for dear life.

8-18-15 - DREAM - I was working for a blonde woman who was beautiful by anyone's standards, but she was mean when things didn't go her way, and things were not going her way, so subsequently not going our way either.

The reason was a missing chemical we needed to do our job.  The chemical could be purchased in a jar but was in short supply.  We needed it to sprinkle it on our clothing in order to press them flat, and without it, the clothing stayed wrinkled.

I didn't know if this woman was withholding the chemical on purpose or if she just couldn't get it anymore because the chemical came from the stars and was in short supply, as it was made from cosmic ray appellation.

8-18-15 - NAP DREAM - I looked out the front window of my house and saw two young teen age girls standing out front and wondered what they were doing, standing in the front yard.

The girls didn't go away, but suddenly got something pink to kneel on and started planting the most beautiful roses I've ever seen in my life.  They were all white blooms 5 or 6 inches across.

I went outside and realized the front of the house looked like my Father's house except where the alley should have been, there was another house.

I went down the front stairs and stood about 5 feet behind the girls and they ignored me.

I was going to ask them why they were planting roses in  front of my house, but the girls were discussing if a man named Tom understood what a marriage proposal meant.

Just then, my husband came out the front door and he looked like Jack from The Young and The Restless TV show (which I had just been watching)

He didn't seem to notice either myself nor the girls planting the roses.

I merely said, "Tom?" and he turned to look at me and the girls stopped working and looked over and saw him.

and I woke up!

8-19-15 DREAM - I had a drawing in front of me with the planets on it.  I casually added 4 more planets to it!

Nibiru, Planet X (Hercolubus) and ?

I remember seeing the date 4-20 on the picture in the center.

8-20-2015  VISION - WAR IN HEAVEN   - I saw a full sheet of newspaper with a black, white and grey drawing on the front of what looked like a drawing of UFOS at war.

They were not in any formation, but everywhere at many angles and large words - UFOS, UFOS, UFOS everywhere superimposed on top of the drawing.  It was like a war in the Heavens.

A few minutes later, I saw another full sheet of newspaper like the Sunday edition.

In other words, there is the REAL world, and the Sunday version.

NOTE: The mailman said he saw a UFO over my house last night.

8-21-15 - DREAM - I was driving into an airport and parked my car.  When I got out of my car, there was a man a couple aisles over trying to convince someone to take his 'son's' bag onto the airplane as his because his son had forgotten this one at home and he needed it at college.  He told the person that his son's plane had already taken off but his son could pick up the bag on the other end of the flight.

When the person refused to take the bag, he went over to another aisle where he knew he hadn't been heard and tried to scheme on another unsuspecting person to take his 'son's' bag as his own bag onto the plane.

He even offered them money to do it because his 'son' needed this bag right away and he made it as a kind gesture for somebody else's kid.

The dream was all in black and white which makes the whole thing seem more ominous to me.

8-21-15   JEHOVAH SAID:  10:10 p.m.

I was praying the Our Father prayer multiple times as I do to begin meditation, and Jehovah interrupted me during the third time.

He said, "I don't want to hear any more lies." 

I was afraid that I had made an error while praying, so I said, "Is there anything I can do for you?" and his response was, "Keep working on the plans for the community. It may be the only place to live in the world, once I get done doing what I have to do!"

8-23-15 - DREAM - This was about the science of drawing individual components of coffee separately and then adding them to coffee and the customer didn't know they were there except they were named individually but couldn't be seen.

The flavor was called "Delicious', and the other additive was called "uprightfulness"

8-24-15 - DREAM - I was watching a lot of women driving their cars to work, shopping and errands.

I wondered where the men were.

8-25-15 - DREAM - I was at a British military center where the men were driving tough to drive vehicles and practicing.

8-25-15 VISION - Joe was sitting at his computer and turned suddenly to see what was on TV.

8-25-15 - VISION  - I saw the husband of a famous singer/actress who had just died. I knew his name the, but not now..  She had a thin face - a beautiful blonde - perhaps from the 40's - 60's.

8-25-15 MULTIPLE VISIONS THAT WERE DARK, A MONKEY, A REPTILIAN, AND A DARK OBAMA that were repeated until I could no longer keep the focus.

EXPERIENCE:  I was watching a TV show about POWER VS AUTHORITY.  They usually go together but are not the same thing.  In healing, you might have one without the other.

WHEN THE SHOW WAS OVER, the front door began to close all by itself and there was no wind inside the house.

I asked the door, "Why are you closing?" and it stopped moving.

I then said, "Okay! You can close:. and it started to move again and slammed shut really hard.  There was no breeze or wind to cause that.

Apparently, I have both the "power" and the "authority."

8-26-15 - DREAM - I was at the beach with a group of people.  Most of them looking outward, not knowing what was coming.  There was more to it, but the details have faded awway.

8-27-15 - I had two dreams that were very similar. I've had similar in the past as well.

I had to create and then twist woven webs that surrounded the house and I had to test them by bouncing a heavy tool on the woven webs to make sure they were tight and secure.

At the same time, a man was following me to make sure I did my job properly and that everything was secure.

8-27-15 - DREAM - I was in a room, sitting with a group of what looked like open egg cartons and in each little spot was a colorful bird.  they were really quite crowded together and I needed to change positions and nearly stepped on several of them when I lost my balance.

I said, "We are going to have the most wonderful bird research lab in the world, and moved again, almost stepping on more birds.

I woke up and I swear I had birds chirping and moaning behind me in the chair I was sitting on.

I quietly sat there, not moving a muscle, waiting for another sound and there wasn't any.  That was a very uncomfortable moment.

I couldn't do that because I'm allergic to bird dander.  But I love to look at them and tried raising them myself for a few months until I wondered why I was having trouble breathing and I had to sell all my birds and cages at a big loss in price.

8-28-15 - IDREAM - I was cleaning my apartment dresser, the apartment, the hallway, and a visitors room. It was a mess and had a lot of stuff on the carpets.  It seemed to be getting worse rather than better.

I had to get helpers to move furniture and get rid of the trash.

8-28-15 - DAPHNE AND I BOTH HAD THE EXPERENCE OF THINKING THAT SOMETHING TERRIBLE IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO THE ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER.

8-29-15 - vision - I saw a sofa with 1 cushion missing and in the open space was one white tiger cub and one orange tiger cub,  there was no black stripes on either tiger.

8-30-15 - DREAM - DANCE LESSONS - I was living in an apartment with three other women, one of whom was Sheila.  I knew the other two women equally well, but don't remember their names.

We were all going to get married for a reason of some kind of status - like citizenship or something.

Then men were represented as our dance partners as tall white sticks, which remind me of 11 - 11.  or 1111.  Each of these sticks had men's names on them all the way down them as the partners were going to be marrying,  I knew one of them was named John, and I clearly saw the name Kissinger on one of the sticks  The sticks were as tall as I am, almost 6 feet, and were about a foot thick.

I was told the music lessons cost $1100 each.  I told the ladies in charge I wasn't going to pay for the lessons after I saw a demonstration of the dance, which consisted more less like wrestling moves where the other person was whipped around by the arms.

I. at the time was wearing a blue dress with yellow flowers on it. One other lady was wearing a yellow dress with blue flowers on it.  I think another dress was red, but I don't recall the 4th dress - perhaps green with red flowers.. the fourth one would have been flowered as well.

After I refused to participate in the dance lessons as unladylike, Sheila just looked at me wondering why I didn't just do it anyway, and the buxom, chubby lady in the yellow dress got mad at me.

I flat out refused to do it and left the room.

8-30-15 - VISION - EITHER AN ANGEL OR MOTHER MARY APPEARED, SMILED BROADLY, THEN RAISED HER HANDS IN FRONT OF HER IN PRAYER FASHION, AND BOWED TO ME.

8-30-15  NAP DREAM - I was in a grocery store with my mother and Father.  While they were shopping, I was standing at a little table and had a couple little small white containers of lip salve or something like that - about an inch across with lids on them.
I also had an unopened can of soda there.  I was standing there waiting for my mother and father to check out so we could leave the store.

Finally, they checked out and were headed out of the store followed by my 10 year old brother Martin who was wearing a light green shirt.

Since he is 8 years younger than me, I would have been about 16 years old.

I grabbed the can of soda and the little white salve containers and started to follow my mother and father out of the store.

Just then, the clerk picked up her microphone and announced to the whole store - Dolores Finney, you are under arrest for creation of your sect.

DEFINITION OF SECT: 

 a religious group that is a smaller part of a larger group and whose members all share similar beliefs

: a religious or political group that is connected to a larger group but that has beliefs that differ greatly from those of the main group

Meanings of the word "cult":

Many common religious terms lack a generally accepted, single, current definition. This leads to confusion over the meanings of certain religious terms, such as Christian, cult hell, heaven, occult, Paganism, salvation, Witch, Witchcraft, Unitarian, Universalist, Voodoo, etc. A reader must often look at the context in which the word is used in order to guess at the intent of the writer.

In the newsgroup alt.usage.english, terms like this one are often called "skunk words." They have diverse meanings to different people. They have so many meanings that they often cause misunderstandings wherever they are used. Unfortunately, most people do not know this, and naturally assume that the meaning that they have been taught is the universally accepted definition of the term.

The term "Unitarian" is a good example:

• Pre-1776 CE: Belief in a single God and the rejection of the Christian concept of the Trinity.
  
  
• Post-1775: A creedless and dogma-free religious organization. The Unitarian Universalist Association, (UUA) is an association of Unitarian congregations.

Utter confusion reigns when an author is using one definition of "Unitarian," while a reader assumes the other meaning. Misunderstandings also happen when an author assumes that both definitions refer to the same organization or belief.

One of the most confusing and dangerous religious term is "Cult". The word is derived from the French word "culte" which came from Latin noun "cultus." The latter is related to the Latin verb "colere" which means "to worship or give reverence to a deity." Thus, in its original meaning, the term "cult" can be applied to any group of religious believers: Southern Baptists, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Roman Catholics, Hindus or Muslims. However, the term has since been assigned at least eight new and very different meanings. The original meaning of "cult" remains positive; more recent definitions are neutral, negative, or extremely negative:

• Positive Meaning:
  • Theological usage: Oxford English Dictionary defined "cult" as:
    • "worship; reverential homage rendered to a divine being or beings"
    • "a particular form or system of religious worship; especially in reference to its external rites and ceremonies"
    • devotion or homage to a particular person or thing."

    This is the historical meaning of the word, but is rarely today heard outside of religious circles. A reference to the "Cult of Mary" appeared in a newspaper report on the Pope's 1999 visit to the Americas. It simply means that the Pope devotes special attention to the Virgin Mary.

  • Cultural usage: The word is often associated with cult films, cult bands, or cult TV programs. Here, the term "cult" refers to a small but devoted following of a movie, entertainment group or television program. Avid supporters of Star Trek may be referred to as devoted cultists.
• Neutral Meanings:
  • Sociological usage:  A small religious group that exists in a state of tension with the predominant religion. Hinduism might be considered a cult in North America; Christianity might be considered a cult in India.
    
    
  • Additional sociological usage: An innovative, fervent religious group, as contrasted with more established and conventional sects and denominations.
    
    
  • The Observer: An English newspaper seemed to use the term to refer to any small religious group, no matter what its age or teachings. ₁
    
    
  • General religious usage:  A small, recently created, religious organization which is often headed by a single charismatic leader and is viewed as an spiritually innovative group. A cult in this sense may simply be a new religious movement on its way to becoming a denomination. The Christian religion, as it existed in 30 CE might be considered a cult involving one leader and 12 or 70 devoted disciples as followers. The Mormon denomination was started in the 19th century by Joseph Smith and a few followers; it met this definition of "cult" but has since grown to become an established denomination of about 15 million members.
    
    
• Negative Meanings:
  • Evangelical Christians and Counter-Cult Movement (CCM) usage: They define a cult as any religious group which accepts most but not all of the key historical Christian doctrines (e.g. the divinity of Jesus, virgin birth, the Trinity, salvation by faith, not works, etc.). The implication is that the cult's theology is invalid; they teach heresy. Under this definition, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons), Unification Church, Jehovah's Witnesses, and many others would be cults. But the CCM would not classify Wicca as such, because it is not associated with Christianity. The earliest use of this meaning of the word "Cult" is believed to be a 1938 book "The Chaos of the Cults" by  J.K. VanBaalen. On the other hand, new religious groups such as the Mormons, Unification Church and Jehovah's Witnesses generally regard themselves to be the true Christian church. They view all other denominations as being in error. Thus, one group's true church is another group's cult. One group's heresy is the other group's orthodoxy.
    
    
  • Fundamentalist Christian usage: Some Fundamentalists would accept the Evangelical definition of cult defined above. Others brand any religious group which deviates from historical Protestant Christian beliefs as a cult. This definition would include the LDS Church, Wicca, mainline and liberal Christian denominations, Islam, Hinduism, and all of the other religions of the world. The vast majority of humanity would belong to cults, by this definition.
    
    
  • Anti-cult movement usage: The anti-cult movement (ACM) attempts to raise public consciousness about what they see as dangerous and authoritarian mind control cults and doomsday cults. Most do not care about the faith group's theology. They target only what they see as deceptive practices, and dangerous psychological pressure techniques, such as brainwashing. The ACM appears to hold opinions about the effectiveness of brainwashing that are not shared by the mental-health community generally. They see mind control/doomsday cults as a widespread social problem.
    
    
• Very negative meaning:
  • Popular, media usage: A cult is considered a small, evil religious group, often with a single charismatic leader, that engages in brainwashing and other mind control techniques, believes that the end of the world is imminent, and collects large amounts of weaponry in preparation for a massive war. The earliest use of this meaning of the word is believed to have been in a 1965 book by Walter Martin "The Kingdom of the Cults"

We have seen "cult" used to refer to Evangelical denominations, the Roman Catholic Church, Unification Church, Church of Scientology, United Church of Christ, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Wiccans, otherNeopagans and many other faith groups. The term is essentially meaningless.

The Theosophical Society was officially formed in New York City, United States, in November 1875 byHelena Petrovna Blavatsky, Colonel Henry Steel Olcott, William Quan Judge and others. Olcott was its first president, and remained president until his demise in 1907. In the early months of 1875, Olcott and Judge had come to realize that, if Blavatsky was a spiritualist, she was no ordinary one.^[2] The society's initial objective was the "study and elucidation of Occultism, the Cabala etc."^[3] After a few years Olcott and Blavatsky moved to India and established the International Headquarters at Adyar, in Madras (Chennai). They were also interested in studying Eastern religions, and these were included in the Society's agenda.^[4] After several iterations the Society's objectives evolved to be:

1. To form a nucleus of the universal brotherhood of humanity without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste, or colour.
2. To encourage the study of comparative religion, philosophy, and science.
3. To investigate the unexplained laws of nature and the powers latent in man.

The Society was organized as a non-sectarian entity. The following was stated in the Constitution and Rules of the Theosophical Society

ARTICLE I: Constitution
4. The Theosophical Society is absolutely unsectarian, and no assent to any formula of belief, faith or creed shall be required as a qualification of membership; but every applicant and member must lie in sympathy with the effort to create the nucleus of an Universal Brotherhood of Humanity

ARTICLE XIII Offences
1. Any Fellow who shall in any way attempt to involve the Society in political disputes shall be immediately expelled.
2. No Fellow, Officer, or Council of the Theosophical Society, or of any Section or Branch thereof, shall promulgate or maintain any doctrin[e ]as being that advanced, or advocated by the Society.^[5]

The Society reformulated this view in a resolution passed by the General Council of the Theosophical Society on December 23, 1924.^[6]

The Hidden Masters

One of the central philosophical tenets promoted by the Society was the complex doctrine of The Intelligent Evolution of All Existence, occurring on a Cosmic scale, incorporating both the physical and non-physical aspects of the known and unknown Universe, and affecting all of its constituent parts regardless of apparent size or importance. The theory was originally promulgated in the Secret Doctrine, the 1888 magnum opus of Helena Blavatsky.^[7] According to this view, Humanity's evolution on Earth (and beyond) is part of the overall Cosmic evolution. It is overseen by a hiddenSpiritual Hierarchy, the so-called Masters of the Ancient Wisdom, whose upper echelons consist of advanced spiritual beings.

Blavatsky portrayed the Theosophical Society as being part of one of many attempts throughout the millennia by this hidden Hierarchy to guide humanity – in concert with the overall Intelligent Cosmic Evolutionary scheme – towards its ultimate, immutable evolutionary objective: the attainment of perfection and the conscious, willing participation in the evolutionary process. These attempts require an earthly infrastructure (such as the Theosophical Society) which she held was ultimately under the inspiration of a number of Mahatmas, members of the Hierarchy.^[8]

Schisms

Blavatsky's death in 1891, the Society's leaders seemed at first to work together peacefully. This did not last long. Judge was accused by Olcott and then prominent Theosophist Annie Besant of forging letters from the Mahatmas; he ended his association with Olcott and Besant in 1895 and took most of the Society's American Section with him. The original organisation led by Olcott and Besant remains today based in India and is known as the Theosophical Society - Adyar. The group led by Judge further splintered into a faction led by Katherine Tingley, and another associated with Judge's secretary Ernest Temple Hargrove. While Hargrove's faction no longer survives, the faction led by Tingley is today known as the Theosophical Society with the clarifying statement, "International Headquarters, Pasadena, California". A third organization, the United Lodge of Theosophists or ULT, in 1909 split off from the latter organization.

In 1902, Rudolf Steiner became General Secretary of the German/Austrian division of the Theosophical Society. He maintained a Western-oriented course, relatively independent from the Adyar headquarters.^[9][10] After serious philosophical conflicts with Annie Besant and other members of the International leadership on the spiritual significance of Christ and on the status of the young boy Jiddu Krishnamurti (see section below), most of the German and Austrian members split off in 1913 and formed the Anthroposophical Society. The latter remains active today and has branches in several countries, including the US and Canada.

The "World Teacher"

In addition to the stated objectives, as early as 1889 Blavatsky publicly declared that the purpose of establishing the Society was to prepare humanity for the reception of a World Teacher: according to the Theosophical doctrine described above, a manifested aspect of an advanced spiritual entity (the Maitreya) that periodically appears on Earth in order to direct the evolution of humankind. The mission of these reputedly regularly appearing emissaries is to practically translate, in a way and language understood by contemporary humanity, the knowledge required to propel it to a higher evolutionary stage.

If the present attempt, in the form of our Society, succeeds better than its predecessors have done, then it will be in existence as an organized, living and healthy body when the time comes for the effort of the XXth century. The general condition of men's minds and hearts will have been improved and purified by the spread of its teachings, and, as I have said, their prejudices and dogmatic illusions will have been, to some extent at least, removed. Not only so, but besides a large and accessible literature ready to men's hands, the next impulse will find a numerous and united body of people ready to welcome the new torch-bearer of Truth. He will find the minds of men prepared for his message, a language ready for him in which to clothe the new truths he brings, an organization awaiting his arrival, which will remove the merely mechanical, material obstacles and difficulties from his path. Think how much one, to whom such an opportunity is given, could accomplish. Measure it by comparison with what the Theosophical Society actually has achieved in the last fourteen years, without any of these advantages and surrounded by hosts of hindrances which would not hamper the new leader.^[11]

This was repeated by then prominent Theosophist Annie Besant in 1896, five years after Blavatsky's death.^[12] Besant, who became President of the Society in 1907, thought the appearance of the World Teacher would happen sooner than the time-frame in Blavatsky's writings, who had indicated that it would not take place until the last quarter of the 20th century.^[13]

Jiddu Krishnamurti[edit]

One of the people who expected the imminent reappearance of the Maitreya as World Teacher was Charles Webster Leadbeater, then an influential Theosophist and occultist. In 1909 he "discovered" Jiddu Krishnamurti, an adolescent Indian boy, who he proclaimed as the most suitable candidate for the "vehicle" of the World Teacher.^[14][15]Krishnamurti's family had relocated next to the Theosophical Society headquarters in Adyar, India, a few months earlier.^[16] Following his "discovery", Krishnamurti was taken under the wing of the Society, and was extensively groomed in preparation for his expected mission.

However, by 1925 Krishnamurti had begun to move away from the course expected of him by the leaders of the Theosophical Society Adyar and by many Theosophists. In 1929 he publicly dissolved the Order of the Star, a worldwide organization created by the leadership of the Theosophical Society to prepare the world for the Coming of the Maitreya, and abandoned his assumed role as the "vehicle" for the World Teacher.^[17] He eventually left the Theosophical Society altogether, yet remained on friendly terms with individual members of the Society.^[18] He spent the rest of his life traveling the world as an independent speaker, becoming widely known as an original thinker on spiritual, philosophical, and psychological subjects.

I have to figure out to do about this aspect of my life. I was raised with no religion at all and subsequently have tried out multiple different religions - 7 or 8, and none of them encompass all that I do or believe in..

8-31-15  - NAP DREAM - I was working as a typist assistant in a hospital's doctor office.

I was tping an address on a square envelope and I noticed that the receptionist who worked on the other side of the aisle behind me in this gigantic room that had 30' ceilings was getting really busy and had a whole line of women standing in front of her desk.

A very chubby brown skinned woman came and stood near me on my left and when I looked at her she waved an empty pill bottle in my direction, indicating that she needed a refill.

I indicated to her that she needed to get in the line that had formed behind me for the receptionist.

I then went back to typing on the envelope and the receptionist took time out from her work to yell over to me, "Are you okay Dolores?"
