This whole dream was about the development of an Olive tree.  At the end I was standing amongst the branches of a huge Olive tree.

I've long tried to grow an olive tree, but my first olive tree was grown in Southern California very well, but the winters of Central California were too cold and the leaves would blacken and fall off, and then regrow every year, and finally it died.  I still have the base and trunk of that tree in a big wooden bucket along with an English Walnut tree that started growing on its own.

In 2012, I purchased three new baby olive trees (that's what it takes to successfully grow olives).  These trees are doing very well outside in my yard right now.

To stand amongst the branches of a large olive tree felt really good.

I recall also that at least one of our Popes used the Olive Tree in his formal name.

The Glory of the Olive Tree, Revisited

Oh, God said to Abraham, “Kill me a son.”

Abe says, “Man, you must be puttin’ me on.”

God say, “No.” Abe say, “What?”

God say, “You can do what you want, Abe, but

the next time you see me comin’, you’d better run.”

“Well,” Abe says, “where you want this killin’ done?”

God says, “Out on Highway 61.”

Bob Dylan, “Highway 61 Revisited”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDgefX2sZRU  The words are hard to understand, but it's historical.

Dylan’s lyrical whimsy notwithstanding, the place where God actually commanded Abraham to sacrifice his only son Isaac was Mt. Moriah in Jerusalem, where the Temple of Solomon would later be built. As the story is told in Genesis Chapter 22, Abraham was not compelled to carry out the sacrifice of Isaac, but was allowed to substitute a ram which had become caught in a nearby thicket by its horns. According to the Jewish Midrashim, this event, known as the Akedah, occurred on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, because it foreshadows the final Redemption, when the sins of Abraham’s progeny will be absolved in the glorious Parousia of the Messiah.

By way of further elaboration on the tale of the Akedah, the Midrashim tell of a revelation granted to Abraham at this time. He saw that the Temple to be erected on the spot of Isaac’s offering would be destroyed. As the ram substituted for Isaac had extricated itself from one thicket only to be caught in another, so Abraham’s children would be delivered from bondage to one empire, only to be ensnared again by another. Thus, he had a vision of the successive subjugations of his descendents by Babylonia, Persia, Greece and Rome. Ironically, their final liberation from Rome at the end of Time will be signaled by the blowing of the same ram’s horn that had become tangled in the thicket on Mt. Moriah during the Akedah.

If we follow the thread of this theme further into the Talmud, we read of an encounter between the Holy One and the spirit of Abraham just before the destruction of Solomon’s Temple. The Holy One is surprised to find Abraham standing in the desolate Temple, and inquires, “What hath My beloved to do in My house?” Abraham replies, “I have come concerning the fate of my children.” The Holy One answers, “Thy children sinned and have gone into exile.” After vainly pleading with the Lord for his progeny, Abraham puts his hands to his face and weeps bitterly, crying out, “Alas, perhaps there is no hope for them.” But then he heard a Heavenly Voice say, “The Lord called thy name a leafy olive tree, fair with goodly fruit; as the olive tree produces its best only in the very end, so Israel will flourish at he end of Time.”

We must note that the olive is not the only tree which is used to represent Israel in the Scriptures. In various passages, they are compared to a fig-tree, a grapevine, a palm tree, a cedar. But the olive tree is the particular symbol that applies to the role of Israel in the end-Time scenario, in the Apocalypse. And the olive tree symbolism focuses even more precisely on the pivotal role of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount in the apocalyptic scheme. All of the Old Testament passages which speak of the “green olive tree” associate it with the Temple, aka the “house of God”. In Psalm 52:8, David writes: “I am like a green olive tree in the house of God.” Jeremiah 11:15-16, the source of the Talmudic story of Abraham weeping in the Temple, contains the lines, “What hath my beloved to do in mine house? … The Lord called thy name a green olive tree, fair and of goodly fruit …” Similarly, Zechariah 4:1-14 introduces the metaphor of the “two olives trees” in the context of the rebuilding of the Temple under the direction of Zerubbabel after the Babylonian captivity.

Zechariah’s vision, in turn, leads us to the book of Revelation, Chapter 11, which describes the immediate prelude to the appearance of Antichrist. Here the prophecy of the olive trees becomes even more specific with respect to the role of the Temple in the end-Time events. In John’s vision, the Temple Mount falls under the control of the Gentiles for a period of 42 months, during which time the two “olive tree” Witnesses prophesy against them.

All of this is quite consistent with the way the Jewish Oral Tradition has always interpreted the metaphor of the olive tree. The traditional teaching speaks of how the olive tree takes many years to bear fruit, which yields its oil — the “glory” of the olive tree — only after much pounding. So, the Midrash teaches, Israel’s reconciliation with God is reserved for the end of Time and is to come only after Abraham’s children endure great suffering. Certainly, they have suffered immensely already, but their final tribulation, foreseen in John’ Revelation, is yet to come. Ironically, the Gentiles who will occupy the Temple Mount will unwittingly “beat the olive tree” and release its precious oil, which is the spiritual Light of the New Jerusalem. These Gentiles will doubtless be Christian literalists, who believe that the return of “their” Messiah requires the physical construction of a new Temple on Mt. Moriah.

With this background, we can now begin to entertain some conjectures as to the full import of St. Malachy’s motto “De Gloria Olivae as applied to Benedict XVI. As I discuss in my book, each of Malachy’s epigrams has two layers of meaning, one rather apparent and somewhat superficial, the other somewhat arcane and much more profound. In the case of Benedict XVI, the obvious layer of meaning appears in the papal name itself, since the Benedictines are also known as “Olivetans”. But, based on our discussion thus far, it would appear that the deeper core of significance in this motto must relate somehow to a struggle for control of the Temple Mount which will unfold during Benedict’s reign.

Though I say this struggle “will unfold”, it’s probably more accurate to say it “will continue to unfold”. This is because the efforts by the Vatican to acquire jurisdiction over the holy sites in the Old City of Jerusalem have been ongoing for over a decade now. During the negotiations of the Oslo Accords, there was rumored to have been an unwritten “side agreement” between the Vatican and the Israeli government to put East Jerusalem under United Nations supervision with the sacred sites administered by Rome. There have also been rumors of deal-making between the Vatican and the Palestinians in which the Church would support Palestinian claims to the Old City in return for papal control over the holy sites. Therefore, it’s understandable that, during the consultation this past February this between US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Vatican Secretary of State Angelo Cardinal Sodano regarding the Middle East peace process, Cardinal Sodano’s primary interest was in the future status of Jerusalem.

If the Vatican does indeed succeed during Benedict’s tenure in negotiating for itself some form of jurisdiction over the Temple Mount, might that not pave the way toward the construction of an “interfaith temple” there — the very abomination foretold by the prophet Daniel? Before we dismiss this possibility too lightly, we would do well to recall that Cardinal Ratzinger, as well as his new Grand Inquisitor Archbishop Levada, have taken a keen interest in expanding the Church’s presence in the Holy Land. As Ratzinger wrote in his book Salt of the Earth, “the Star points to Jerusalem”. In his truly “parochial” theology, as expressed in God and the World, the redemption of Israel can only come at the moment when it “will say yes to Christ”.

For two thousand years misguided Christians have been trying to force this “yes” into the mouths of Jews. But the final effort, which seems destined to come under the pontificate of Benedict XVI, will succeed only in pressing the sublime oil of divine illumination — the radiant Glory of the Olive Tree — from the beleaguered children of Abraham. Then will Zion again become a brilliant beacon of Light, a veritable pillar of Fire leading mankind into the Promised Land of Eternal Life.

Glory Of the Olive, the illuminati code for the destruction of Israel and Catholic Church

Three types of illuminati agents are working overtime to complete the destruction of Israel agenda: the Vatican; the iranian leadership; and the most important of them all, the Israeli leaders. Because the most efficient agents are always the traitors, acting from within. "Glory of the Olive" at Mount of Olives the day before and at Mount Precipice the day after the last of the first days of Fatima

One of the last survivors of Hitler's army, in the "Glory of the Olive" role, at the Mount of Olive Trees and Mount Precipice the day before and the day after the last (1) of the first days of Fatima (2) in Illuminatziland.
All that was predicted BEFORE (3) Ratzinger was officially assigned that role.
By one and the same, the End Times Prophet. (4)

"Glory of the Olive" at the Mount of Olive Trees, Jerusalem, the day before the last of the first days of Fatima

12 May 2009 - The same day the illuminati stage the fake biblical 'abomination of desolation' as 'First "Pope" to enter Dome of the Rock ('abomination of desolation' standing on another 'abomination of desolation'), the real act takes place a stone throw away, at the Mount of the Olive Trees (falsely translated as Mount of Olives).

"Glory of the Olive" at the Mount Precipice, Nazareth , the day after the last of the first days of Fatima

May 14th, 2009 - Anti-pope celebrates anti-mass where mob tried to push Jesus off the cliff, for an audience where the large majority are muslims commanded to play catholic during another satanic celebration of "Glory of the Olive", to last five LONG days.

The location for the satanic celebration at Nazareth was not the Church of the Annunciation, where Christians believe the angel Gabriel told Mary she would give birth to the son of God, because the main goal of this celebration was not to celebrate the 'abomination of desolation standing where it should not be".

The location at Nazareth was an amphitheatre built specially for the satanists to celebrate this day, at Mount Precipice, the site where a mob tried to hurl Jesus off a cliff.

Because the main goal was to satanic celebration of the the illuminati agenda of "genocide of christians", in what concerns the biblical grounds.

Cheering the "tolerant" Middle East muslims, where the extermination of christians is now pratically completed, the most striking example being Iraq, where two million christians were murdered or forced to flee since it was occupied by the mercenaries of the antichrist, 2003. (5)

Added June 5: three weeks later "Obama", the other illuminati actor playing abomination of desolation, repeats the act during the speech "addressed to muslims" at Cairo, Egypt, at the beginning of a two days remake of the anti-pope's journey of three years. (6)

Jerusalem, Western Wall liberated: one generation later to the day, treasonous Knesset, Israel government, hide it

Jerusalem, Western Wall liberated, 40 years to this day, or one generation in the Bible. (1)
40 years later, the illuminati erased from your memory David vs. Goliath 1967, aka Six Day War. (2)
In the process, the Knesset Israel traitors (3), the most important illuminati agents in the destruction of Israel, can now afford to even forget about it this very day (4).
Anything is possible once the sheeple have accepted the mark. (5)

(1) Photo: Zion Karasanti, Yitzhak Yifat and Haim Oshrí, IDF soldiers at Jerusalem's Western Wall shortly after its capture, 7 June 1967.

(2) The Illuminati could not rewrite the facts in one generation. It was a war that involved too many countries, the dimension of the victory of David was unprecedented in History.
No wonder, that victory was a milestone in the History of End Times.
So the illuminati just erased it from the memory of their sheep, by keeping silent about it.
Especially important in Israel, as the illuminati gave back the Sinai 20 years ago, the milestone setting the foundations for the new process, the destruction of Israel.

Last planned Pope Benedict XVI turns 80 - Tu es Petrus, Du Bist Petrus - the Horrible Truth about self fulfillment of the "St. Malachy" Prophecies

Google News could not find any mention about it:

So use google to translate this:

In particular this:

The horrible truth about the joke planned for the celebration of 80th birhtday of "Glory of the Olive" or "Gloria Olivae". Telling to the sheep what Matt Marriott explained a few days before he was "elected" (1) and two years later nobody else echoed.

Ratzinger was assigned the role of Glory of the Olive: the destruction of Israel and the completion of the destruction of the Catholic Church.
The "Gloria Olivae" role, which is also in fact "Petrus Romanus".

End Times Reductionism also in the script for the self fulfillment of the "St. Malachy" Prophecies? Not really. Just "Back into the Future" mind control.

Destruction of Israel - 'Glory of the Olive' agenda explained worldwide first and so far only by Matt Marriott

'Destruction of Israel' agenda - Main Illuminati agents

Three types of illuminati agents working overtime to complete the destruction of Israel agenda:
- the people in control of the Vatican;
- the iranian leadership - they follow the Illuminati agenda, not the agenda of true muslims, which happens to be the same, in this case;
- and the most important of all, the Israeli leadership. Because the most efficient agents are always the traitors, acting from within.

'Glory of the Olive' Keys decoded - Another proof of End Times Reductionism

Key Facts concerning the Destruction of Israel explained worldwide COMPLETELY FIRST and so far (September 2006) only by Matt Marriott, the Illuminati End Times Prophet:

1. The illuminati agenda "Destruction of Israel", now a top priority, code name "Glory of the Olive". Note: that is ALSO the illuminati code for completing the destruction of the catholic church.
2. Iranian leaders are illuminati agents, not true muslims.
3. Israeli leaders are illuminati agents. This means (see fact #1) that their goal is the destruction of Israel.

The same prophet who decoded the illuminati code for the "Panzer Kardinal" Natzinger, the day before they "elected" him. The first so far only also to expose the FULL script of 9/11.

Solana makes peace with Mahdi in Teheran: The illuminati script for 6 June 2006 (06/06/06)

6 June 2006 - Bush & Solana offer Iran nuclear technology, as predicted by Prophet

AP, June 6, 2006 - A package of incentives presented Tuesday to Iran includes a provision for the United States to supply Tehran with some nuclear technology....

The offer was part of a series of rewards offered to Tehran by European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana, according to the diplomats, who were familiar with the proposals and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were disclosing confidential details of the offer.

NYT, June 6, 2006 - European diplomats and a senior Bush administration official said the offer was going to include a commitment to support Iran's plan for a nuclear energy program for civilian use; this was to include building light-water reactors...

The most compelling item, though, may be the American offer announced last week to end its nearly three-decade policy against direct talks with Iran and to join in the negotiations over Iran's nuclear program. Washington has also offered to waive trade sanctions against Iran to allow the purchase of American agricultural appliances and the sale of Boeing aircraft parts, along with aircraft and parts from Airbus, according to government officials.

The United States and Europe also agreed to back Iran's membership in the World Trade Organization.

Solana makes peace with Mahdi in Teheran: The illuminati script for 6 June 2006 (06/06/06) - explained worldwide first by ... you know who

The man that officially gave the order to start World War III, 24 March 1999 (1), aka the first "humanitarian war" in History, seven years later, celebrates "Glory of the olive" and destruction of Israel, sealing "peace" with "Holocaust is a hoax" Mahdi - in Teheran, as predicted (2).

June 6 (Bloomberg) -- Iran's top nuclear negotiator said there are ``positive steps'' in U.S.-backed incentives aimed at persuading the Islamic Republic to hold international talks about ending the production of nuclear fuel.
European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana presented the proposal today in Tehran, saying it would ``allow us to get engaged in negotiations,'' according to the official Islamic Republic News Agency.
``We had constructive talks. This proposal is comprised of positive steps and certain ambiguities that need to be addressed.''

"We want to start a new relationship on the basis of mutual respect and mutual trust," Solana said ...

Pope coins "why God tolerated" (the Holocaust), leaves question unanswered - why

29 May 2006 - one of the last survivors of Hitler's Army as Pope in Auschwitz.
Auschwitz, the stage chosen to speak out the three unprecedented words that three days later appear in 52,700 pages in the Google index.
So, why did Pope Benedict XVI coin the unanswered question, "why God tolerated" (the Holocaust)?

Google test for the Pope's unprecedented three words
Once again with Google an unprecedented end times event can immediately be confirmed: The illuminati have just coined a new expression.
Two simple searches immediately show that all those 52,700 pages appeared following the Pope's three words, in the last three days.
Three days later, June 1, 2006, Google search for those three words - "why God tolerated":
Results 1 - 10 of about 52,700 for "why God tolerated"

Now the same search but excluding pages with "pope": "why God tolerated" -pope
Results 1 - 2 of about 3 for "why God tolerated" -pope
BTW, note the satanic conotation in the only page where the expression appeared(1).

ALLOWED was the word that was replaced
The Pope doesn't use the obvious word. Again with google, you can easily check the word that was replaced, i.e. ALLOWED:
Results 1 - 10 of about 18,600 for "why God allowed" -pope

The questions are: Why was "tolerated" the word chosen? Why was the Pope chosen to do it? Why was Auschwitz the stage chosen? Why didn't the Pope give an answer?

Suggestion: start here:

Third Reich Army: One of last survivors visits Auschwitz as Pope Benedict XVI, photos May 2006

Benedict's black-clad entourage kept its distance as he walked under the gate's notorious words: "Arbeit Macht Frei," or "Work Sets You Free."
Other than a brief greeting to the local bishop, Benedict kept silent, his lips moving in prayer and the wind tossing his white hair as he stopped for a full minute before the Wall of Death, where the Nazis killed thousands of prisoners.
Then he was handed a lighted candle, which he placed before the wall.
Although Benedict has avoided using German, some at the Mass held German flags and a banner reading in German, "We greet our Holy Father."

Reminder: "Glory of the Olive" is the illuminati code for the destruction of Israel
Explained by the same prophet that was also the only to decode the illuminati message about "Ratzinger, the Panzer Kardinal", one day before they "elected" him to finish the job

"In a place like this, words fail. In the end, there can only be a dread silence - a silence which is itself a heartfelt cry to God: Why, Lord, did you remain silent? How could you tolerate all this?" he said in a speech in Italian.
Reminder: "Glory of the Olive" is ALSO the illuminati code for completing the destruction of the catholic church

Saint Malachy
Prophecies about 112 popes until the end of the world.

Note: The Church does not lean on private revelation for doctrinal matters, but it does not oppose to the faithful obtaining benefit from them so long as they don't go against our faith.

This analysis focuses on the last five Popes in the context of the prophecies of Saint Malachy.

+ + +

Saint Malachy was born in Amagh Ireland in 1094, he lived a religious life as a monk, then he was ordained priest and finally Bishop. He was canonized in 1199 by Pope Clement III. His biography was compiled by Saint Bernard, a contemporaneous saint.

He made a pilgrimage to Rome and during the end of the year 1139 and the beginning of 1140 had a series of visions about 112 Popes from Celestine III, elected Pontiff in 1130 until the last Pope who is described in his list as Peter Romanus.

After the last Roman Pontiff, Saint Malachy predicts the end of the world.

The Benedictine historian Arnold Wion was the first person to mention these prophecies in his book Lignum Vitae, published in 1559.

These prophecies are short, but they have demonstrated to be very accurate, even though in the time of their publication they caused much controversy as some claimed that they were falsified.

The book of prophecies of Saint Malachy was published originally in 1969 by Colin Smythe Ltd. in England, with the title "Prophecies of St. Malachy and St. Columbkille."

Tan Books published the book in the United States in 1973 with the title "Prophecies of Saint Malachy" its author is Peter Bander.

The foreword reads like this:

In publishing THE PROPHECIES OF SAINT MALACHY, Colin Smythe Limited have produced an instructive and entertaining book.

There is great deal of instant information in Peter Bander's nutshell biographical accounts of the popes who occupied the Roman See since the year 1143 to our present time - and indeed of the antipopes as well. The remarkable way in which the visions St Malachy is alleged to have had, are shown to apply to the succesive individual popes is most amusing. Is it not the case to repeat: "Se non e vero, e ben trovato"? (If it is not true, it is well rhymed)

Whatever one may think of the genuineness of the prophecies attributed to Saint Malachy, here is a fascinating study which provides the curious reader with much profit and pleasure.

Archbishop H.E. Cardinale
Apostolic Nuncio to Belgium and Luxemburg, until recently Apostolic Delegate to Great Britain.

It is curious to think that whenever there is a Conclave, the Cardinals read these prophecies of the saint, and even though they are not ecclesiastic authority they give an idea of what has happen and of what is to occur.

Prophecies of Saint Malachy

This study is an analysis based on private revelation and observations of what is taking place now. It is not to be taken as an official position of the Church. It is good to remind us of the words of the Lord: "stay awake."

The last five popes are mentioned with the following titles:
Flos Florum
De medietate Lunae
De Labore Solis
Gloria Olivae
Petrus Romanus

Flos Florum - Flower of flowers

Saint Malachy Prophecies, Popes, end of the worldPope Paul VI
Pontiff from 1963 to 1978.

Giovanni Battista Montini. In his coat of arms there are three "fleurs de lis"

With great success he concluded Vatican Council II, he made rigorous reforms to the Roman Curia, he traveled the five continents and was called peregrine pope .  In 1965 he was well received and accepted at his address to the UN. Author of the encyclicals
opulorum progressio (1967), Humanae vitae July 24, 1968. He died in August 6, 1978, feast of the Transfiguration.

De medietate Lunae - Of the half moon

Saint Malachy Prophecies,Popes, end of the worldPapa Juan Pablo I ' Abino Luciani
Pontiff for 33 days.

He was born on 17 of October 1912 in Forno di Canale, called now Canale de Agordo, he was baptized the same day by his midwife, for fear of his death, he was later baptized by a priest.

After a life dedicated to the Church as a priest, he was elected Pope during the second day of the Conclave in August 26, 1978. He died of cardiac attack in September 28 1978, thirty three days after the beginning of his papacy.

"De la media luna" Of the half moon is a very accurate description regarding his beginning and also his short pontificate. Even his name Abino Luciani means white light, it has been mentioned that the most important events of his life took place in dates of half moon.

De Labore Solis -
From the toil of the sun - or - Of the eclipse of the sun.

Pope  John Paul II
Pontiff from 1978 to 2005

This description fits John Paul II perfectly, since he emerged as a especial light for the Catholic Church, promoting the faith from all angles. The works of John Paul II were truly the work of God, the labor of the sun.

The second meaning of "De labore solis" is a solar eclipse, in which the sun seems to struggle in order to give its light. Perhaps the fact thatJohn Paul II, was a very Marian Pope who had a special devotion to the Virgin Mary, the woman clothed with the sun that appears in the Apocalypse, suggests that the sun (Our Lord) has been temporarily eclipsed by the moon (Our Lady).

John Paul II was a great humanist and peacemaker, a traveler Pope, proclaimer of the gospel in more than 130 countries throughout the world, author of many apostolic letters, encyclicals and books. Canonizer of more saints in his pontificate than any other Pope in all history. During his last years as Pope he concluded his pontificate proclaiming the Holy Trinity, the Virgin Mary and the Eucharist.

Gloria Olivae - The Glory of the olive

Benedict XVI
Joseph Ratzinger
Starts Pontificate in April 2005

He chose his name in honor of Saint Benedict, author of the very strict rule of the Benedictines.

His motto is "Co-worker of the Truth."

He has been known even before becoming Pope as a conservative man, ready to defend the Catholic principles that represent the truth of the teachings of Christ.

Our new Pontiff is covered under the sign of the olive according to the prophecies of St. Malachy

The branches of the olive were symbols of peace and victory for Noah after the flood. Throughout history, we know that olive branches have made crowns for kings and athletes as symbols of power and glory. The olive tree thrives in silent areas, such as the garden of olives where Jesus suffered his agony before being arrested by the soldiers.

Olive oil has anointed kings, saints, popes and in a especial way all Christians.

The leaves and the oil of the olive tree have medicinal properties, derived from the oleic acid which is an anti cancer component. The good kitchen cannot exist without olive oil. The best paints have olive oil base, to give them luster and to increase their durability.

The olive is a symbol of peace, abundance, glory and purification.

The Church has been through a period of light, and now is the the time to celebrate and pick up the fruits of the previous pontificate of John Paul. It is quite possible that they will bring many conversions and an increase in the faith especially from the young people.

With the purifying properties of the olive, our new Pontiff comes to challenge error.  He presents himself exposing the truth of our faith with a special courage, he is prepared to heal the cancer of heresy, the infection of apostasy and to promote the health of our Catholic faith.

According to the prophecies of Saint Malachy, Pope Benedict XVI is the Pope before the last one, named "Gloria Olivae" which means the glory of the olive, it is to be a time of glory and rejoicing for the true Church.

Due to the straightforwardness of our new Pontiff, great opposition is expected, but the Spirit of God is with him and we are in good hands.

Petrus Romanus - Peter Roman

The apostle Peter was the first Pope of the Church, elected directly by our Lord Jesus Christ:

You are Peter, the rock. On this rock I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the Kingdom, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, whatever you loose on earth will be loose in Heaven. (Matthew 16:18-19)

Peter, the same as Christ, drank of the same chalice of suffering when he died as a martyr.

The body of Christ, the Church represents our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pope Francis I, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio

The last two pontiffs will have to face the fury of the enemy who will make a violent persecution to Christianity. Faithful as Peter, the last Pontiff will take care of his flock in the midst of the attacks of the enemy.

2 Thessalonians 3-4 speaks of the apostasy of the last times before the second coming of Christ, when evil will be defying everything that is sacred. The man of iniquity, or the anti-Christ will take his seat in the temple of God.

This does not necessarily means the embodiment of the devil but if could mean the evil that is being accepted broadly when human beings who are temples of the spirit of God are being desecrated by their own wickedness.

Just as the Lord lived, taught us, gave us spiritual food and saved us by his death on the cross, the Church being the mystical body of Christ has a similar task. Therefore the church is to be persecuted, insulted and finally crucified, in preparation for the coming of the Lord.

But just as the Lord rose after his death, the Church will also be resurrected for the Glory of God.

No one knows the day nor the hour, but the Lord tells us to be ready.

The prophecies of Saint Malachy end like this:

In the persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock among many tribulations after which the seven hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people.

Saint Malachy Prophecies,Popes, end of the world

olives from Jordan

Olives from Jordan

The olive (i/ˈɒlɪv/ or i/ˈɑːləv/, Olea europaea, meaning "Oil from/of Europe") is a species of small tree in the family Oleaceae, native to the coastal areas of the eastern Mediterranean Basin as well as northern Iraq, and northern Iran at the south of the Caspian Sea.

Its fruit, also called the olive, is of major agricultural importance in the Mediterranean region as the source of olive oil. The tree and its fruit give its name to the plant family, which also includes species such as lilacs, jasmine, Forsythia and the true ash trees (Fraxinus). The word derives from Latin olīva which is cognate with the Greek ἐλαία (elaía) ultimately from Mycenaean Greek  e-ra-wa ("elaiva"), attested in Linear B syllabic script. The word "oil" in multiple languages ultimately derives from the name of this tree and its fruit.

ancient olive

The olive tree, Olea europaea, is an evergreen tree or shrub native to the Mediterranean, Asia and Africa. It is short and squat, and rarely exceeds 8–15 metres (26–49 ft) in height. However, the Pisciottana, a unique variety comprising 40,000 trees found only in the area around Pisciotta in the Campania region of southern Italy often exceeds 8–15 metres (26–49 ft) with correspondingly large trunk diameters. The silvery green leaves are oblong, measuring 4–10 centimetres (1.6–3.9 in) long and 1–3 centimetres (0.39–1.2 in) wide. The trunk is typically gnarled and twisted.

The small white, feathery flowers, with ten-cleft calyx and corolla, two stamens and bifid stigma, are borne generally on the previous year's wood, in racemes springing from the axils of the leaves.

The fruit is a small drupe 1–2.5 centimetres (0.39–0.98 in) long, thinner-fleshed and smaller in wild plants than in orchard cultivars. Olives are harvested in the green to purple stage. Canned black olives may contain chemicals (usually ferrous sulfate) that turn them black artificially.

Olea europaea contains a seed commonly referred to in American English as a pit or a rock, and in British English as a stone.

olive ripening

Olive ripening

The place, time and immediate ancestry of the cultivated olive are unknown. It is assumed that Olea europaea may have arisen from O. chrysophylla in northern tropical Africa and that it was introduced into the countries of the Mediterranean Basin via Egypt and then Crete or the Levant, Syria and Asia Minor. Fossil Olea pollen has been found in Macedonia, Greece, and other places around Mediterranean, indicating that this genus is an original element of the Mediterranean flora. Fossilized leaves of Olea were found in the palaeosols of the volcanic Greek island of Santorini (Thera) and were dated about 37,000 Before Present (BP). Imprints of larvae of olive whitefly Aleurolobus (Aleurodes) olivinus were found on the leaves. The same insect is commonly found today on olive leaves, showing that the plant-animal co-evolutionary relations have not changed since that time.

The olive is one of the plants most often cited in western literature. In Homer's Odyssey, Odysseus crawls beneath two shoots of olive that grow from a single stock, and in the Iliad, (XVII.53ff) is a metaphoric description of a lone olive tree in the mountains, by a spring; the Greeks observed that the olive rarely thrives at a distance from the sea, which in Greece invariably means up mountain slopes. Greek myth attributed to the primordial culture-hero Aristaeus the understanding of olive husbandry, along with cheese-making and bee-keeping. Olive was one of the woods used to fashion the most primitive Greek cult figures, called xoana, referring to their wooden material; they were reverently preserved for centuries. It was purely a matter of local pride that the Athenians claimed that the olive grew first in Athens. In an archaic Athenian foundation myth, Athena won the patronship of Attica from Poseidon with the gift of the olive. Though, according to the 4th-century BC father of botany, Theophrastus, olive trees ordinarily attained an age of about 200 years, he mentions that the very olive tree of Athena still grew on the Acropolis; it was still to be seen there in the 2nd century AD; and when Pausanias was shown it, ca 170 AD, he reported "Legend also says that when the Persians fired Athens the olive was burnt down, but on the very day it was burnt it grew again to the height of two cubits." Indeed, olive suckers sprout readily from the stump, and the great age of some existing olive trees shows that it was perfectly possible that the olive tree of the Acropolis dated to the Bronze Age. The olive was sacred to Athena and appeared on the Athenian coinage.

According to Pliny the Elder a vine, a fig and an olive tree grew in the middle of the Roman Forum, the latter was planted to provide shade (the garden plot was recreated in the 20th century). The Roman poet Horace mentions it in reference to his own diet, which he describes as very simple: "As for me, olives, endives, and smooth mallows provide sustenance." Lord Monboddo comments on the olive in 1779 as one of the foods preferred by the ancients and as one of the most perfect foods.

The leafy branches of the olive tree – the olive branch as a symbol of abundance, glory and peace – were used to crown the victors of friendly games and bloody wars. As emblems of benediction and purification, they were also ritually offered to deities and powerful figures; some were even found in Tutankhamen's tomb.

Olive oil has long been considered sacred; it was used to anoint kings and athletes in ancient Greece. It was burnt in the sacred lamps of temples as well as being the "eternal flame" of the original Olympic Games. Victors in these games were crowned with its leaves. Today, it is still used in many religious ceremonies. Over the years, the olive has been the symbol of peace, wisdom, glory, fertility, power and purity.

The olive was one of the main elements in ancient Israelite cuisine. Olive oil was used for not only food and cooking, but also lighting, sacrificial offerings, ointment, and anointment for priestly or royal office.

The olive tree and olives are mentioned over 30 times in the Bible, in both the New and Old Testaments. It is one of the first plants mentioned in the Bible, and one of the most significant. For example, it was an olive leaf that a dove brought back to Noah to demonstrate that the flood was over. The olive is listed in the Hebrew Bible (Deut 8:8) as one of the seven species that are noteworthy products of the Land of Israel.

The Mount of Olives east of Jerusalem is mentioned several times. The Allegory of the Olive Tree in St. Paul's Epistle to the Romans (which reappears in greatly expanded form in the Book of Jacob in the Book of Mormon) refers to the scattering and gathering of Israel. It compares the Israelites and gentiles to tame and wild olive trees. The olive tree itself, as well as olive oil and olives, play an important role in the Bible.

The olive tree and olive oil are mentioned seven times in the Quran, and the olive is praised as a precious fruit. Most notably, it is mentioned in one of the most famous verses of the Quran, Ayat an-Nur: "Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The metaphor of His Light is that of a niche in which is a lamp, the lamp inside a glass, the glass like a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east nor of the west, its oil all but giving off light even if no fire touches it. Light upon Light. Allah guides to His Light whoever He wills and Allah makes metaphors for mankind and Allah has knowledge of all things." (Quran, 24:35). Olive tree and olive-oil health benefits have been propounded in Prophetic medicine. The Prophet Mohamed is reported to have said: "Take oil of olive and massage with it – it is a blessed tree" (Sunan al-Darimi, 69:103).

Olives are subsititutes for dates (if not available) during Ramadan fasting, and olive tree leaves are used as incense in some Muslim Mediterranean countries.

The olive tree is native to the Mediterranean region and Western Asia, and spread to nearby countries from there. It is estimated the cultivation of olive trees began more than 7000 years ago. As far back as 3000 BC, olives were grown commercially in Crete; they may have been the source of the wealth of the Minoan civilization. The ancient Greeks used to smear olive oil on their bodies and hair as a matter of grooming and good health.

Theophrastus, in On the Nature of Plants, does not give as systematic and detailed an account of olive husbandry as he does of the vine, but he makes clear (in 1.16.10) that the cultivated olive must be vegetatively propagated; indeed, the pits give rise to thorny, wild-type olives, spread far and wide by birds. Theophrastus reports how the bearing olive can be grafted on the wild olive, for which the Greeks had a separate name, kotinos.

Vitruvius describes of the use of charred olive wood in tying together walls and foundations in his De Architectura:

The thickness of the wall should, in my opinion, be such that armed men meeting on top of it may pass one another without interference. In the thickness there should be set a very close succession of ties made of charred olive wood, binding the two faces of the wall together like pins, to give it lasting endurance. For that is a material which neither decay, nor the weather, nor time can harm, but even though buried in the earth or set in the water it keeps sound and useful forever. And so not only city walls but substructures in general and all walls that require a thickness like that of a city wall, will be long in falling to decay if tied in this manner.

The Spanish colonists brought the olive to the New World where its cultivation prospered in present-day Peru and Chile. The first precious seedlings from Spain were planted in Lima by Antonio de Rivera in 1560. Olive tree cultivation quickly spread along the valleys of South America's dry Pacific coast where the climate was similar to the Mediterranean. The Spanish missionaries established the tree in the 18th century in California. It was first cultivated at Mission San Diego de Alcalá in 1769 or later around 1795. Orchards were started at other missions but in 1838 an inspection found only two olive orchard in California. Oil tree cultivation gradually became a highly successful commercial venture from the 1860s onwards. In Japan the first successful planting of olive trees happened in 1908 on Shodo Island which became the cradle of olive cultivation. It is estimated that there are about 865 million olive trees in the world today (as of 2005), and the vast majority of these are found in Mediterranean countries, although traditionally marginal areas account for no more than 25% of olive planted area and 10% of oil production.

olive tree 2000 years old   this olive tree is over 2000 years old

The olive tree, Olea europaea, is very hardy: drought-, disease- and fire-resistant, it can live to a great age. Its root system is robust and capable of regenerating the tree even if the above-ground structure is destroyed. The older the olive tree, the broader and more gnarled the trunk becomes. Many olive trees in the groves around the Mediterranean are said to be hundreds of years old, while an age of 2,000 years is claimed for a number of individual trees; in some cases, this has been scientifically verified.

Pliny the Elder told about a sacred Greek olive tree that was 1,600 years old. An olive tree in west Athens, named "Plato's Olive Tree", was said to be a remnant of the grove within which Plato's Academy was situated, which would make it approximately 2,400 years old. The tree comprised a cavernous trunk from which a few branches were still sprouting in 1975, when a traffic accident caused a bus to fall on and uproot it. Since then, the trunk has been preserved and displayed in the nearby Agricultural University of Athens. A supposedly older tree, the "Peisistratos Tree", is located by the banks of the Cephisus River, in the municipality of Agioi Anargyroi, and is said to be a remnant of an olive grove that was planted by Athenian tyrant Peisistratos in the 6th century BC. Numerous ancient olive trees also exist near Pelion in Greece. The age of an olive tree in Crete, the Finix Olive is claimed to be over 2,000 years old, this estimate is based on archaeological evidence around the tree.

An olive tree in Algarve, Portugal, is 2000 years old, according to radiocarbon dating.

An olive tree in Bar, Montenegro, is claimed to be over 2,000 years old.

An olive tree on the island of Brijuni (Brioni), Istria in Croatia, has been calculated to be about 1,600 years old. It still gives fruit (about 30 kg/66 lb per year), which is made into top quality olive oil.

The town of Bshaale, Lebanon claims to have the oldest olive trees in the world (4000 BC for the oldest), but no scientific study supports these claims. Other trees in the towns of Amioun appear to be at least 1,500 years old.

There are dozens of ancient olive trees throughout Israel and Palestine which age has earlier been estimated to be 1,600–2,000 years old, however this estimates could not be supported by current scientific practices. Ancient trees include two giant olive trees in Arraba and five trees in Deir Hanna, both in the Galilee region, which have been determined to be over 3,000 years old, although there is no available data to support the credibility of the study that produced these age estimates and as such the 3000 years age estimate can not be considered valid.  All seven trees continue to produce olives. Several trees in the Garden of Gethsemane (from the Hebrew words "gat shemanim" or olive press) in Jerusalem are claimed to date back to the time of Jesus.

Some Italian olive trees are believed to date back to Roman times, although identifying progenitor trees in ancient sources is difficult. A tree located in Santu Baltolu di Carana (municipality of Luras) in Sardinia, Italy, named with respect as the Ozzastru by the inhabitants of the region, is claimed to be 3,000 to 4,000 years old according to different studies. There are several other trees of about 1,000 years old within the same garden. The 15th-century trees of Olivo della Linza located in Alliste province of Lecce in Puglia were noted by Bishop Ludovico de Pennis during his pastoral visit to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Nardò-Gallipoli in 1452.

The olive tree, Olea europaea, has been cultivated for olive oil, fine wood, olive leaf, and the olive fruit. The earliest evidence for the domestication of olives comes from the Chalcolithic Period archaeological site of Teleilat Ghassul in what is today modern Jordan.

Farmers in ancient times believed that olive trees would not grow well if planted more than a certain distance from the sea; Theophrastus gives 300 stadia (55.6 km/34.5 mi) as the limit. Modern experience does not always confirm this, and, though showing a preference for the coast, they have long been grown further inland in some areas with suitable climates, particularly in the southwestern Mediterranean (Iberia, northwest Africa) where winters are mild.

There are six natural subspecies of Olea europaea distributed over a wide range:

The subspecies maroccana and cerasiformis are respectively hexaploid and tetraploid.

There are thousands of cultivars of the Olea europaea olive tree. In Italy alone at least three hundred cultivars have been enumerated, but only a few are grown to a large extent. None of these can be accurately identified with ancient descriptions, though it is not unlikely that some of the narrow-leaved cultivars most esteemed may be descendants of the Licinian olive. The Iberian olives are usually cured and eaten, often after being pitted, stuffed (with pickled pimento, anchovies, or other fillings) and packed in brine in jars or tins. Some also pickle olives at home.

Since many cultivars are self-sterile or nearly so, they are generally planted in pairs with a single primary cultivar and a secondary cultivar selected for its ability to fertilize the primary one. In recent times, efforts have been directed at producing hybrid cultivars with qualities such as resistance to disease, quick growth and larger or more consistent crops.

Some particularly important cultivars of Olea europaea include:

Olive trees, Olea europaea, show a marked preference for calcareous soils, flourishing best on limestone slopes and crags, and coastal climate conditions. They grow in any light soil, even on clay if well drained, but in rich soils they are predisposed to disease and produce poorer oil than in poorer soil. (This was noted by Pliny the Elder.) Olives like hot weather, and temperatures below −10 °C (14 °F) may injure even a mature tree. They tolerate drought well, thanks to their sturdy and extensive root system. Olive trees can live for several millennia, and can remain productive for as long if they are pruned correctly and regularly.

Olives grow very slowly, and over many years the trunk can attain a considerable diameter. A. P. de Candolle recorded one exceeding 10 metres (33 ft) in girth. The trees rarely exceed 15 metres (49 ft) in height, and are generally confined to much more limited dimensions by frequent pruning. The yellow or light greenish-brown wood is often finely veined with a darker tint; being very hard and close-grained, it is valued by woodworkers. There are only a handlful of olive varieties that can be used to cross-pollinate. Pendolino olive trees are partially self-fertile, but pollenizers are needed for a large fruit crop. Other compatible olive tree pollenizers include Leccino and Maurino. Pendolino olive trees are used extensively as pollenizers in large olive tree groves.

Olives are propagated by various methods. The preferred ways are cuttings and layers; the tree roots easily in favourable soil and throws up suckers from the stump when cut down. However, yields from trees grown from suckers or seeds are poor; they must be budded or grafted onto other specimens to do well (Lewington and Parker, 114). Branches of various thickness cut into lengths of about 1 metre (3.3 ft) planted deeply in manured ground soon vegetate. Shorter pieces are sometimes laid horizontally in shallow trenches and, when covered with a few centimetres of soil, rapidly throw up sucker-like shoots. In Greece, grafting the cultivated tree on the wild tree is a common practice. In Italy, embryonic buds, which form small swellings on the stems, are carefully excised and planted under the soil surface, where they soon form a vigorous shoot.

The olive is also sometimes grown from seed. To facilitate germination, the oily pericarp is first softened by slight rotting, or soaked in hot water or in an alkaline solution.

Where the olive is carefully cultivated, as in Languedoc and Provence, the trees are regularly pruned. The pruning preserves the flower-bearing shoots of the preceding year, while keeping the tree low enough to allow the easy gathering of the fruit. The spaces between the trees are regularly fertilized. The crop from old trees is sometimes enormous, but they seldom bear well two years in succession, and in many cases a large harvest occurs every sixth or seventh season.

Olives are harvested in the autumn and winter. More specifically in the Northern hemisphere, green olives are picked at the end of September to about the middle of November. Blond olives are picked from the middle of October to the end of November and black olives are collected from the middle of November to the end of January or early February. In southern Europe, harvesting is done for several weeks in winter, but the time varies in each country, and with the season and the cultivar.

Most olives today are harvested by shaking the boughs or the whole tree. Using olives found lying on the ground can result in poor quality oil. Another method involves standing on a ladder and "milking" the olives into a sack tied around the harvester's waist.  A third method uses a device called an oli-net that wraps around the tree trunk and opens to form an umbrella-like catcher from which workers collect the fruit. Another method uses an electric tool, the oliviera, that has large tongs that spin around quickly, removing fruit from the tree. Olives harvested by this method are used for oil. Table olive varieties are more difficult to harvest, as workers must take care not to damage the fruit; baskets that hang around the worker's neck are used. In some places in Italy, Croatia and Greece, olives are harvested by hand because the terrain is too mountainous for machines. As a result, the fruit is not bruised, which leads to a superior finished product. The method also involves sawing off branches, which is healthy for future production.

The amount of oil contained in the fruit differs greatly by cultivar; the pericarp is usually 60–70% oil. Typical yields are 1.5–2.2 kg (3.3–4.9 lb) of oil per tree per year.

Olives are a naturally bitter fruit fermented or cured with lye or brine to make them more palatable.

Green olives and black olives are typically washed thoroughly in water to remove oleuropein, a bitter glycoside.

Green olives are allowed to ferment before being packed in a brine solution. American black ("California") olives are not fermented, which is why they taste milder than green olives.

In addition to oleuropein, freshly picked olives are not palatable because of phenolic compounds. (One exception is the throubes olive, which can be eaten fresh.) Traditional cures use the natural microflora on the fruit to aid in fermentation, which leads to three important outcomes: the leaching out and breakdown of oleuropein and phenolic compounds; the creation of lactic acid, which is a natural preservative; and a complex of flavoursome fermentation products. The result is a product which will store with or without refrigeration.

Curing can employ lye, salt, brine, or fresh water. Salt cured olives (also known as dry cured) are packed in plain salt for at least a month, which produces a salty and wrinkled olive. Brine cured olives are kept in a salt water solution for a few days or more. Fresh water cured olives are soaked in a succession of baths, changed daily. Green olives are usually firmer than black olives.

Olives can also be flavoured by soaking in a marinade or pitted and stuffed. Popular flavourings include herbs, spices, olive oil, chili, lemon zest, lemon juice, wine, vinegar, and juniper berries; popular stuffings include feta cheese, blue cheese, pimento, garlic cloves, jalapenos, almonds, and anchovies. Sometimes, the olives are lightly cracked with a hammer or a stone to trigger fermentation. This method of curing adds a slightly bitter taste.

There are various pathologies that can affect olives. The most serious pest is the olive fruit fly dacus (Dacus olea) which lays its eggs in the olive most commonly just before it becomes ripe in the autumn. The region surrounding the puncture rots, becomes brown and takes a bitter taste making the olive unfit for eating or for oil. For controlling the pest the practice has been to spray with insecticides (organophosphates, e.g. dimethoate). Classic organic methods have now been applied such as trapping, applying the bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis and spraying with kaolin. Such methods are obligatory for organic olives.

A fungus, Cycloconium oleaginum, can infect the trees for several successive seasons, causing great damage to plantations. A species of bacterium, Pseudomonas savastanoi pv. oleae, induces tumour growth in the shoots. Certain lepidopterous caterpillars feed on the leaves and flowers.

A pest which spreads through olive trees is the black scale bug, a small black scale insect that resembles a small black spot. They attach themselves firmly to olive trees and reduce the quality of the fruit; their main predators are wasps. The curculio beetle eats the edges of leaves, leaving sawtooth damage.

Rabbits eat the bark of olive trees and can do considerable damage, especially to young trees. If the bark is removed around the entire circumference of a tree it is likely to die.

At the northern edge of their cultivation zone, for instance in Southern France and north-central Italy, olive trees suffer occasionally from frost. Gales and long-continued rains during the gathering season also cause damage.

Olives are one of the most extensively cultivated fruit crops in the world. In 2010 there were about 9.4 million hectares planted with olive trees, which is more than twice the amount of land devoted to apples, bananas or mangoes. Only coconut trees and oil palms command more space. Cultivation area tripled from 2,600,000 to 7,950,000 hectares (6,400,000 to 19,600,000 acres) between 1960 and 1998 and reached a 10 million ha peak in 2008. The ten largest producing countries, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization, are all located in the Mediterranean region and produce 95% of the world's olives.

Since its first domestication, Olea europaea has been spreading back to the wild from planted groves. Its original wild populations in southern Europe have been largely swamped by feral plants.

In some other parts of the world where it has been introduced, most notably South Australia, the olive has become a major woody weed that displaces native vegetation. In South Australia, its seeds are spread by the introduced red fox and by many bird species, including the European starling and the native emu, into woodlands, where they germinate and eventually form a dense canopy that prevents regeneration of native trees. As the climate of South Australia is very dry and bushfire prone, the oil rich feral olive tree substantially increases the fire hazard of native sclerophyll woodlands.
